All sorts of rumours flying round about Conte.
What a pity he doesn't just get on with it, because he's an excellent manager, but seems his personality is constantly clashing with Romans clique and some of his players.
First there was Costa, a right prick himself, but not handled at all well. Then Kenedy, now Luiz who seems to be off in January, and maybe Willian. These are all players who could make a difference but once in Contes' bad book, it seems there is never any way out.
From the outside it looks like Conte is still not over the off season buying and always trying to show Roman what a tough man he is. With talk of Ancellotti in the background, it sure seems we are about to change Managers again. That's pure lunacy from my viewpoint. Ancellotti is well past his use by date as evidenced at Bayern, but will do as he's told. Conte is one of the top men but not easy to handle.
Never dull at Chelsea, but what a weird way to run a football Club. Keep hoping this is all paper talk, but the signs are not good.

Since I wrote this Conte has come out and said he will definately stay and see out his contract until end of 2019 season. He insists we will be a much stronger team next season and go all out to reclaim the title. Hope Roman and his merry men and women give him the time and players to do just that.

If Last 2 games are any indication where he started with 11 instead of 10, Tony clearly wants to stay least this season.

    But
I won't be surprised if Tony replaced Judas next season at OT if Judas fails to finish above Tony in table second season running.

Modern game is about manager rotation and accountability etc. Won't be surprised with anything.

But Carlo should only be used as a interim one a la Rafa and not perm one. Carlo is past it.

Why do you persist with this 10 player nonesense Stan? It’s gone past the joke and has gone from being laughable through to downright annoying. We all know your thoughts (unfortunately) please keep them to yourself or make an argument without using what has now become a cliched abortion.

    Thank you!

Old Trafford seem to have more patience than Roman, and understand that Team rebuilding usually takes more than a couple of months, one good player and a few squadies !!!!! I think Jose has another season before the axe falls. That said, I am not particularly impressed by Joses' management any more, I truly believe his management style is out of date and he is being left behind by more creative and clearer thinkers than himself. 2 years ago I had Guardiola on the downslide, how wrong I was. His team is light years ahead of us and Utd now, probably PSG and even Real and Barca. Among the several big spenders, his is the best footballing team of them all, Jose still parks the bus in big games and is attack shy. Doesn't work any more Jose, need to do better than that. Conte needs a serious upgrade in quality in 3 key positions, but will he get it from Romans' Accountants?

If it's all as simple and straight forward as Stan sees it, drop Fabregas and win every game, I don't understand why Stan is not in for Contes' job. Would be the easiest £8 million he'll ever make.

Naah.. We don't have quality every where like City or Manu. We cannot afford to be lethargic. Sincerely think Cescy is a luxury we cannot afford.

I seem to recall we beat Utd 1-0. Jose would bite your hand off to get Willian and /or Luiz. and we have Hazard, Morata, Azpi, Kante, Christensen, Pedro, Moses and Alonso as well. We also have quality , not as much as City, but in some ways better than Utd, and we have a better manager. We are only lacking a dominant attacking midfielder, a ball playing defender and a back up striker before we worry the life out of anyone. Conte needs to stop the strop and play good players, like Luiz and Kenedy to give us some options, as we are a bit too predictable.

I’d like Chelsea to develop Christensen rather than sign another CB.

And give Baka a season or so to get fit to prove he isn’t ****

Bats is a good super sub but poor back up. So think we need an option there

Otherwise, we aren’t City and are not going to have a perfect squad.

I think it's a given that Christensen will develop his attacking game, he has everything that kid, and is doing the right thing going out each week and defending really well, which is his 1st job. The attack will come with experience. I was thinking more of using Cahill less and Rudiger more, of reinserting Luiz into the equation instead of selling. Dave needs help to redevelop his flair, which has gone flat. Someone like Alex Sandro would be a great buy, we'd have 2 great players for every backline position.
Bakayoko is already showing signs of improving, but needs at least another half a season to get to where we need him. I think he'll make it now as the penny seems to have dropped. We will still need another one for when Fabregas fades further and don't think Drinkwater is it. If only Michy could make an improvement we'd be in great shape. That said he's not had enough game time, but hasn't taken his chances well enough yet. Three top whack players would make a huge difference.

How is Fabregas fading? He lost what little mobility he had in early 10s... he is just as undynamic without the ball now as he was in 2014.

Given that his game has no pace/movement, he should be able to carry on into his 30s if he avoids injury.

All clubs bar City (possibly) could use 3 top whack players.

    Yes I am leading LOL.

To borrow Night's dialogue "I see dead people".

I just see the obvious things most of our fans fail to see.

I predicted on July 13 th that Rooney will outscore Lukaku in league this season.

Barring Lukaku being injured, do you think Roon will outscore him?

Stan 2, would love to comment on this one, I am sure, @Stan

Hey Bob, you have tremendous value in your squad and have money in bank as well.
That is going to come in handy in the second half of season.

Fantasy is week to week stuff. As you know, everything can change in 1 week.
But I am enjoying my stay at the top.
BTW we have multiple Not606 leagues out there. I am leading 4 different leagues created within Not606 <laugh>

Allclubs could use 3 players, but until we get them we won't match City, Bayern etc. Our midfield has been weak as piss since we lost Lampard and Ballack and we have never come close to replacing either. Bakayoko is looking promising but not there yet. That's one.
Our back 3 can defend, but have no bite, nothing starts from there.Dave can do it, but in my opinion, has taken that out of his game in order to up his defensive work while Christensen is still fine tuning his game. With Luiz and in time Christensen, we will improve in that area, or we could get someone in now. Cahill is on borrowed time and doesn't look likely to be a first choice much longer. That's two.
Up front we are bare as mother Hubbards' cupboard. No Morata, no strike force. Hazard is not the answer, he is vital in another way. We desperately need a back up unless Michy miraculously comes good, which he won't watching from the bench. That's three.
Upgrade in those 3 positions, whole different ball game.
As for Fabregas, no way he's going to get better, and even with him playing well, midfield is still our weak link.
