A large number of injuries for our players of all sorts. Some joints some muscles others just seem just bodies getting tired.
How much of it is down to the way we play? High intensity pressing must put a strain on the body.
How much of it is down to the way they train?
Is it the way we train and play or is it just bad luck?

Difficult to call remote. Morro was OK going out against Reading and so was Mendez against the Wurzels - both got crocked during the game.

There's no doubt an over vigourous training regime can drain players match performances but once they're on the pitch anything can happen - look at poor Healey last season. If it comes down to one thing it must be just luck - of the bad variety.

If anything, Tomlin needs some help with his diet as well as match fitness training - he's a prime example of latent talent that could go to waste.

    It's hard to know Remote.

I blame it on Alf Ramsey who brought the end of 2-3-5 for 4-4-2 <yikes>

Since that day football has become survivors of the fittest, no more end of game with a pint in one hand and a *** in the other.

3 subs has a lot to do with it too, if we went back to only 1 players would be looked after more.

It might be my failing mind but I feel sure we did not have this amount of injuries in the '60s or '70s.

It's not only Football other sports seem to have the same problem. <cheers>

    EDIT

Bring back jumpers for goal posts I say.

Love to see how goal line technology works with that. <yikes>

Some reports suggested that Steve Martin didn't want to give Tomlin's goal at Reading but realised he had no option because the goaline technology info on his wrist is repeated off pitch.

I don't suppose we'll ever know if that's true but there is a definite history between him and Warnock that could influence his unmonitored decisions.

Wouldn't surprise me. I wouldn't pi$$ on Martin if he was on fire.

On a positive note I thought Bamba's fifth booking of the season would have seen him suspended for next Saturday. Just checked and the cut off for 5 bookings for the Championship was 30/11. Instead he is now halfway to 10 and a 2 match ban. Hope Morro is fit by then.

I'm assuming Pelt's substitution was more precautionary for a tweak and he will be okay next week.

We'll have dead eye Dick on one goal and blind Pugh on the other, they will be better than some of the line men we've had this season.:emoticon-0126-nerd:

    Back to the OP.

Ward out for 3 months at least after surgery and Gunnar having surgery this morning and will be out until February.

I think Warnock is looking around.

Healy coming back is probably the cover we need for Ward, but need another engine in midfield. Bryson coming back, but there is a lot of running to be done by Ralls and Loic, especially if Tomlin gets much game time.

Still think we need cover for Hoilett though. We've got Kadeem coming back to cover for NML and Patterson can cover as well as a stop gap. Left side looks a bit light though.

    We'll find out soon enough.

4 games in 10 days will really stretch the squad. City have had really bad luck with injuries. Let’s hope the players are able to overcome it; for sure there won’t be a lack of commitment.
