Well personally I'd have had Boufal ahead of Redmond and VVD ahead of Yoshi, presuming everyone fit, but otherwise I guess it's a sensible enough choice.

I just find it really hard to shake the impression that MP2 is sitting there going "well, I dunno, let's try this one..." some of the time (though in fairness I got that with RK a bit too when we were being rubbish with him for that period).

Theres no Davis so he needed Yoshi(we really need a 3rd person who can be captain, Mauricio.) And the 5 - 3 - 2/5 - 4 - 1 formation he's used against big teams before. I'm surprised he dropped VvD for Hoedt but the logic is completely understandable. Biggest surprise for me is starting Gabbi, but again the reasoning is understandable even if you don't agree with it. all his choices have a lot of logic to them. Perhaps he's overthinking.

Austin's going to touch the ball twice in 90 minutes though. No point playing a player who won't really impact the game away from home.
He could score with one touch. He is scoring and no one else is. Why drop him?

A guy who can score from hardly anything is going to impact a game

Tadic won't be good if we don't have the ball. Redmond gives us an outlet with his pace regardless of how well he has been playing. A lot of players deserved to be dropped after Wednesday's game.

I never said I wanted Tadic in ahead of Redmond.

And fine, I get the pace outlet argument. So play Long if you want that. Redmond might have pace, but he doesn't actually use it.

It’s simple Beefy, Archers horse didn’t
Come in so we’re saving Charlie til the last 15 minutes...

Then when he score we can all go “Aye, aye Charlie”
