No races on the chase course then at ‘the natural amphitheatre’ beyond the conclusion of the 1.55 (?!?) tomorrow. You seriously could not make it up.

Sounds like sensible "low sun" planning to me.

Yes, I know. Was just pointing out that it is somewhat ironic given that they moniker themselves as being a ‘natural amphitheatre’. Had they not ‘traded’ on this fact or revelled re it then I wouldn’t have had anything to critique.

Meanwhile, if what the ‘Sporting Life’ nudge, nudge, wink, winked at last moth about Movewiththetimes and the 0-145 novices handicap at the Cheltenham Festival is true then connections (on his 3rd run over fences and a run which will qualify him for the Festival race) aren’t going to be looking for…how do I put this diplomatically…a run, of the morrow, which will see his rating improved upon by so much as a single pound. Steady spin round and a ratings reduction perhaps even?!? Thoughts???

Have to follow Tropics after just missing out last time. Will follow him until he wins. Still think 5f might suit him better but we'll see

Cheltenham 3.05pm

Ch'tibello 8/1 each way 3 places with Skybet.

Goes well in soft ground and Dan Skelton is in good form at present. Horse has previously got the better of My Tent or Yours and Old Guard so should confirm superiority with those two. I recall he beat the well regarded Cloudy Dream in the Scottish Champion Hurdle and horse was entered in the Champion Hurdle last season only to be ruled out due to injury.

Is getting weight from the New One and Melon. With this enhanced offer of first 3 in a seven runner field I think this is a cracking little bet. Could be one to improve and I'm expecting a big run.

I can not work out the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup for the life of me. I think they are all so closely matched, so resisting the temptation. Just the one bet for me.

I was keen on Starchitect earlier in the week, but I can't work out why Splash of Ginge is almost twice the price at 10/1. His form's a bit inconsistent, but he seems to like this time of year.

Just one for me in the form of Clan Des Obeaux in 1.55 at HQ.Nicholls great record in this race and CDO second behind Whisper at Kempton reads very well.7/2 seems a fair price(Skybet also usual Sat special)
Backed him @ 7/1 earlier in the week
Altho he is carrying top weight it doesn’t look the strongest field and a has the profile to be the winner of the race

Can’t wait to see APPLE SHAKIRA again today! She looked an absolute machine and the 4/1 available for the triumph at the moment will be long gone this afternoon!!

I am waiting to hear whether I should be backing Fast Track to get back last time’s losses. It quite literally fell out of the stalls that day and only went down in a photo.

Good luck to old boy Tropics nonetheless.

Morning

Having some fun place only bets on the exchange

12.00 Doncaster-Brotherly Company & Ink Master
2.25 Newcastle-Western Way & Bollihope
8.45 Wolverhampton-The Feathered Nest & Alejandro

1pt on each [Proof at Betfair Sp]

Morning all, had a great night out at Olympia last night and met my new best mate.as you can see had a nice chat with frankie and was telling him about a nice horse boxed in Epsom who could do with a little help next time out. He'd be delighted to get the leg up if given the chance.
Anyway onto today. In my opinion there's a bit of cash to be plundered.first up foxtail hill, will be given an easy lead and will be hard to pass if they give him to much rope. I think he's on better terms today with some of his rivals and them bookies will not learn as I've predicted with this horse in the past and he's emptied their satchels many times for me.
Global stage looks the value in the 2.30 fob nothing more to say.in the 3.05 old guard looks the value for me.its a tough race and there's some top class old stages in this but the selection tends to run well round here this time of year under these conditions and has won this race before, massive price.in the 3.40 I can't split momella and brillare moments probably a reverse forecast
Cheers

Oh bugger. I've napped Tropics. Good luck with Fast Track though if you back it
