Afternoon all. Having been a Spurs fan since the double (despite Cardiff being my local team) I post on here occasionally and read regularly.

As a Christmas present to myself I'm coming to the Southampton game on Boxing Day. My daughter's boyfriend's family from Herts have a box for the match. Costing me half what I pay for my Cardiff season ticket so better be a good game - not banking on that though.

I will be driving to Wembley - 12.30 ko not appreciated, have to go easy Christmas Day with an early start needed.

Can anyone recommend a good place to park? Don't mind paying £20 or so but object to the £40/50 shown for some of the official car parks close to the ground.

    Many thanks.

Are you writing as a spectator, or as a Soton player ?? :)

Genuine reply RDBD, as a Spurs fan of 56 years. Hope the Saints can afford a bus for their team.

I only paid £20 or perhaps it was £30 for the chavs match. Not an official car park, one of the industrial units close to the ground. It certainly wasn't 40 or 50. Next time we play them I'll lay my hands on a chavs scarf so I can use one of the car parks set aside for them, so I can let all of their tyres down :emoticon-0100-smile

Who else thought this was a topic about the tactics we tend to face at Wembley?

One alternative is to park at Hillingdon station and catch the Metropolitan line train to Wembley Park.

Thanks Power Spurs. Boxing Day is a Sunday Service. How reliable and regular is that?

It's usually quite frequent, about two trains every 15 mins. It will either come close to that or quite rarely stop altogether if there is a major incident.

Any station starting from Uxbridge will work. Hillingdon is the easiest to get to from the M25 and has a reasonable car park (but I've never used it on Boxing day).
