I've watched Burnley twice this season and neither game were they dull, they played some half decent football.
That Barnes is a horrible **** tho, we can all agree on that. Who was it he elbowed at,our place? Twat
Thats why I think many a Pre club will ultimately overlook Dyche. Maybe they will feel he could not coach flair players with fans demanding attacking football. AKA Everton
To be fair the population of Burnley is only 70,000 or 80,000 and with a lot of other clubs on their door step they get pretty well supported.
I seem to remember another unfancied team getting to third place in the Premier League a few years ago. Unfortunately, from that point on it all went tits up and they only just avoided relegation that season but did go down the following one.
That reminds me of the season we did it. Weird thing is I can't quite remember what happened after October.
it all started going wrong when Marlon King started acting like a ****, as if it wouldn't last anyway - it was November 08 that him and Deano had their fight, then he was groping women etc - he was a great player for us early on but then it all went off the rails
2,500 empty seats last night compared to an average of 5,000 empty seats or us in PL last season. Not bad for a town a third of the size with a lot more nearby clubs. I hear their fans cast eyes enviously towards the east at big clubs in big cities that are the best run in their league. I see some of their fans saying reasons of empty seats include low wages, number of games this week, price of tickets. What sort of fans come out with stuff like that? Next thing they will be saying it is because after a couple of seasons in the PL the novelty has worn off.
Burnley have all but secured safety from relegation - meaning more funding for their actual, seeming, long term plan. A superficial observation (and no doubt flawed) but mirrowing Brexit, across the divisions, are we seeing the return to winning ways and mode for solid, organised British football? Justafort anyway.
I hope they finish in the top four. I'm fed up of listening to talk ****e about the usual over spending big 4 or 6. Dyche has done an amazing job
