What are you saying exactly Staines?
Seems like a bit of a childish swipe and insult to me

Lot of harsh comments about Ollie here from poster's who never wanted him. I didn't want him either when he was appointed, but it seemed then most posters did. Where are you all?

I wasn't at all happy with him last season either, continue to find his players selections strange and his changes of formation too frequent. But I'm impressed by the effort and team spirit that shines through this season, and I do think he is giving young players chances when he can. I think we are where we are in the League mostly because we don't have the players who are good enough to be much further up in this League. I don't see that bringing in players from lower leagues or our own youngsters is likely to save us this season.

Still, If there is an available Manager who the players will work as hard for, and is clued in enough to use our best strikers Sylla and Smith, and our best winger Pawel I'd be happy with a change. Using our best avsilable players may just keep us up.

As last a good post in favour of the club
Careful they don’t turn on you
This is the root of my frustration you get a load of mosning sods chewing the fat and very soon it becomes a compounded circular ball of fluff ... which is at the end of the day just entertainment. Anyone with any hint of a differing opinion is labelled deluded.

That after of course we appointed a young hungry and very good coach in Ramsey who was sadly shown to be out of his league. Still let’s think of a new name to replace the man who seriously cares about our club. Staines honestly selective memory is the first signs mate

Smith is NOT our best striker.....simply for the reason the other 9 outfield players stop playing football and we become one dimensional. Any opposition can easily defend against and its not rocket science,. Can someone tell me if we have won a game this season when he has started?

He started the season on the bench and we had a very good start with Washington and Sylla starting then another purple patch in October again with Washington and Sylla starting. They are not great strikers but had formed a partnership and more importantly when THEY play Freeman and LUongo tend to play better as they can keep the ball on the ground!!!!

Over the last 6 games of ****e I dont think they have started together ....and that is what makes Olly a poor Manager. I dont mind Smith but he is an impact player nothing more.

So what’s the answer to our free fall lads? Change the manager & will it work I doubt it, we’ve changed mid season before & it didn’t work, the strikers haven’t worked either & I’ll would like to see some of younger ones come in & also get eze back as they can’t do any worse, our formation lately is non existent, IH is not the answer I think, but would hope he keeps us up & then say thanks Ian for what you have done, nothing against olly & a decent bloke, but we can all see it’s not happening on the field, would love to be proved wrong though starting this Saturday & a must win, but will keep going to watch them year after year untill my times up.

Course you knew about him. You know at least a 100 European based young strikers better than him

I honestly think DT has got the Olly doubters misunderstood. I'm sure we all would love nothing more than for him to succeed, win the odd game (especially away), and progress even slightly as a team and club. We would all love to write positive comments. Results are all that matters in this game not how much someone cares or how much they fight or who they have previously played for. In my opinion Olly is experimenting with his limited ability at our expense and by that I literally mean our expense at travelling to watch games, purchasing merchandise etc. I know Lua lua has gone back to Brighton but along with Wheeler, Bright-Samuel, pavwel, Shodipo and Petrasso we had an abundance of wide players yet either decide not to play with any or play Mackie there instead. Olly is accommdating Scowen, Freeman and Luongo in central midfield at the expense of the rest of the team. Don't get me wrong, I rate all 3 players but it's jeopardizing our overall formation and approach to games. We travel away and hope yes hope to try soak up pressure and counter attack teams but we don't have the ability to do so and always concede. Then it's plan Smith but with no natural wide players all the balls become direct from deep rather than advanced wide positions. We are predictable, naive and left wide open all too often.

Doesn’t help that we have an ex striker Director Of Football who can’t identify a decent striker.

I don't want to go down a religious line as it is not what this forum is about. But thanks for the insight as I was fully unaware of the particluar fact.

Yes. For me it does seem a bit extreme.
