He is now close to being the "Suarez" replacement. He is red hot and you expect him to score in every match.

Oof ... strong claim. Salah is in terrific form granted. But he's a different type/style of player to Suarez and I think to be putting him in that bracket he needs to continue this form for the rest of this season and then produce it again consistently next season to show it's more than a flash in the pan

TBF we can allow Salah to go missing for a few months now and then <whistle>

He could have got injured and cost us the 25 goals he'll make in the rest of the season

End of the day our opponents yesterday are a complete irrelevance beyond their geographic privilege

Then you might play Solanke a bit more and find out that he's a 30 goal a half season striker.

guess we'll never know now :P

What kind of goals though? Lukaku goals or ones that matter?

So we didn't defend well but you created no clear cut chances.....I see

<laugh>

Did you defend well or did we attack poorly? All we did was put crosses in. No one was working the ball into the box.

If you think you lot defended well and it was a defensive master class, your standards really have dropped.

You had scored 12 goals in the previous 2 games, we restricted you to 3 efforts on target despite you having 75% possession. If you can't give us credit for setting up and defending well then you should stick to FIFA mate

How did you defend well when we scored one, Mane missed a sitter, and both Salah and Gomez were very close as well?

We had plenty of possession but we didn’t create much at all because our midfielders are incapable of passing forward.

I’m really sorry Tobes but just because you conceded only one goal doesn’t mean you defended well. We’ve kept a few clean sheets all season but doesn’t mean Lovren is Baresi.

Ok mate, we were shipping goals to all and sundry until 2 weeks ago.

Now we've conceded 1 in 4 games since BFS arrived at Finch Farm

Pure coincidence of course

Please Tobes, I respectfully disagree with you.

I’m sure you have improved since Sam has arrived but as I say, you didn’t defend well because you didn’t actually have much to do considering we either played in front of you, passing sideways or launching crosses to little or No presence in the box.

I hope we can move on amicably.

You played in front of us as we didn't chase the ball and create gaps in front of the back line, allowing you to work triangles through us. We made you play sideways and take pot shots

See West Ham's performance at City last week for details.

Your view on the game is often binary Jimmy, sorry.

proof is in the pudding. We can only speculate what salah could have done. We know for a fact that Firmino did not score or get an assist so whatever happened, salah couldn't have done any worse unless he was scoring oggies
What we do know is Bobby's name is chanted on the terraces home and away. Why?.....because Liverpool fans recognise the contribution he
makes to the team as a whole, and how vital that is to how we play our football. Just because Salah is scoring more goals doesn't mean he has
more 'class' than Bobby. That's a blinkered viewpoint. They both offer different strengths to the squad.

You didn’t make us play sideways. We had Milner and Hendo in CM who are known for passing sideways or crossing from wide angles.

We’ve played defensive teams this season and we’ve dispatched them by playing through them. That’s when we had our best players on the pitch.

We really missed Coutinho creating from deep as we have no one else (bar Can at times) who can pass through lines.

I'm not here to debate what Bobby brings to the table as most of the liverpool fans highly rate him.

All i'm debating here is this "bobby was more likely to score/assist than salah" in respect to salahs sub. I'm taking objection to this because Firmino didn't score or assist and neither did the team when he was on for the duration of the match. Salah couldn't do ANY worse than what transpired unless he started scoring own goals or playing throughballs to everton players.

Going to have to disagree with you Jimmy. They defended well/you attacked rubbish however you want to put it they minimised you to few chances. They defended what they had to defend and to restrict you boys to 1 goal is job well done.

Whether that would have happened if coutinho is probably unlikely, but we'll never know. On this occasion the Everton defence did okay.

Coutinho did knack all when he came on and him creating from deep, would have been useless as we were defending on our 18 yard line.

Burnley, United and Newcastle have all done the same job on you.

It was about this point last year when the template was laid for how to frustrate you and get a result........

But for a ludicrous penalty decision this would not even be an issue. We have 7 games coming up in 21 days and Klopp has to manage the squad.
