I was really happy with the effort and application put in today. We out fought and out manned Everton. Gomez was humongous. Two player let the side down. Lovren for just being a moron it was a clear pen on a guy going away from the goal.

Mane.. looks up, sees ox free and a tap in and runs it one then fires it wide. That was the game there and it was really poor.

Worst Everton team I've ever seen in terms of just not even able to make one pass never mind 2
I don't understand people thinking it's a pen?

Not sure about the second but
Will depend on direction they take no matter what it’s a good point for them
But hope we learn defo - think mane just wants to impress a bit at the min which is daft they are far better as a unit than individuals
It was a horrible decision though. There were 3 players unmarked in the box waiting to slot it home. A similarly bad decision by a defender to give away a goal results in the player getting scorn heaped on him. I know it's different for attacking players, they need to be creative and try things which don't always come off, but such an obvious one like that can be costly. I'm pretty sure any of our other three would have gone for the right ball there.

How good was Gomez today? He is my MOTM.

I don’t blame for Klopp rotating because he has to. It should have paid dividends if it wasnt for some individual errors.

It’s good that we’re rotating but not good that we’re rotating with **** like Hendo and Milner.

It's a hand in the back.

Its clear the lad slowed up inviting contact but lovren barrels in and the hand on back is extremely clear especially from refs viewpoint

It's a pen imo. The lads done very well, clever play and that's not cheating.
Of course it is. The fact is that there are players on all teams that do it doesn't change what it is i.e. gaining an unfair advantage.

It's a contact sport, you will touch other players. Never a pen.

Touch yes, if he'd barged him with his torso no pen. Thats the smart ddfender play, lovren put a clear hand on bavk and looked like a push first time round and on replay just looks stupid.

Lewin very smart, lovren very very dim.

I can see why it has been given
Call it what you will clever or cheating, nothing our players haven’t done
As with all of these it is consistency
There were at least 5/6 pushes went unpunished for both sides
In the Utd game at mo there have been more as both sides fighting hard
Soft, yes - pen, maybe but if that is the bar.... - deserved, no but Everton finding feet under new manager
Great result for them - poor for us
But not end of season
When dust settles bearing in mind our faults we are in a good position :)

He slows up to stop running out of play.
