The Henry VIII looks a cracker tomorrow and should throw up the Arkle favourite. I think Brain Power wins, he looks like he's a classy two mile chaser. Finions Oscar's jumping would put me off him over this trip but the jockey booking could work in his favour. Hard race to have a bet in though. One that is interesting me from a betting perspective is Beat That in the previous race. He jumped fences like a wardrobe so I wouldn't take much notice of his recent form but back over hurdles off 147 looks interesting. His novice form over the smaller obstacles would have him chucked in off this mark.
Highland Lodge 10s and old boy Portrait King at 33s in the Becher. Tizzard/Power/Potts double with FO and FN Was v impressed with brain power lto but think Oscar may have touch more class today Cheers

A few bets for me today: Aintree 1.30pm viva steve 12/1 each way. Bit of a risk as depends how horse copes with the fences but I seem to recall this one was bought as a potential national horse and if they have any real desires in that they need to get his handicap mark up. I m expecting a big run Sandown 3.30pm Doing Fine 5/1 ..has decent course form and can put up a good show. In the Many Clouds chase I fancy Definitly Red to win this...
Hello, everyone. Nothing for me today but am still both fascinated and intrigued by the entry of Blaklion in old boy Captain Becher’s race. Am totally clueless (for the reasons outlined yesterday) if connections plan to win or run him down the field in order to secure a ratings reduction and a more favourable perch in April’s Grand National. If they did the latter they would have some animal to go to war with as he’s already only 1 lb above the mark off which he ran in April’s showpiece. You pays your money though and takes your pick re which option they are going to go with in a couple of hours or so. Re Henry VIII’s race I’ve no firm opinions. Yet another Seven Barrows owner though going with his own jockey. The role of ‘stable number 1’ is certainly not what it was! Good luck all.
A former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner who finished 7th in this years Grand National, goes best when fresh and running off a mark of 144 in the Becher Chase ........................ Lord Windermere 33/1 e/w Monster
