With Douvan's defection and Finian's Oscar's declaration, the Henry VIII Novices Chase has suddenly become the best race on Sandown's card. Looks a really strong renewal.

North hill Harvey , I wasn't impressed with finians oscars jumping last time and the fences at sandown take some jumping. Tizzard so horses aren't firing for me.

I quite fancy the (current) outsider of the lot - Sceau Royal. Only beaten a neck by North Hill Harvey at Cheltenham and 5lbs better off today.

Finians probably better running over 2m4 then dropping back for the Arkle like Captain Chris. Small field tomorrow unlikely to produce the sort of test you get in the Arkle.

Yep, reasonably well handicapped but it's 5/2 in a handicap a lot of trainers target every year. He may sluice up but i'm happier going each way 10/1 with 4 places than win only 5/2 in this renewal.
I did take the 4/1 on Monday for him! As you knew he would run, I like your thinking but with a run behind him dropped in the weights and not the strongest field hard seeing him beat. One at an ew price is AS DE MEE seems to be made for the fences and likes aintree too. He too had a prep race and definate ew shout!

Ran a lovely race last time over an inadequate trip, obviously the Mullins fav will be hard to beat if he jumps round but this fella should run very well indeed.
