Dave always hates me. He often mentions me on the sly, and often tries to make me look ****e.

You dont have to try for that!

I really hope that you don't think that I hate you, I don't hate anybody though I do disagree with many.

The thing with KIO and Delia is that because he doesn't like her he thinks everyone else should dislike her, but many of us see a relatively, though not mega, rich person who has put her money into saving our club, and believe me, she really has saved our club, but along the way has made some mistakes.

How many of us can really say, hand on heart, that we have not made some poor decisions? OTBC

I don't like Delia, in part because of that article and her comments, in part because she has presided over some truely shocking decisions. The saving the club bit I think is over played a little. So we didn't go into administration (Better than having done so, but not necessarily a club ender), they took over from Whatling, how much the wolf was really at the door seems a subject of much conjecture, ranging from 48hrs to 3 weeks or not at all. The thing is they stepped in, other investors might have been found? Whatling might have been able to carry on. We could have gone into administration (If it was unavoidable through internal or other external investment) and gone on to bounce back. Delia + M stepped in and steadied the ship but what has followed really hasn't been inspirational stuff.

    Bah!

To this, and other people on here.

She isn't a football expert. She never claimed to be. She wanted to invest in this Club, and my god she saved us from folding. She ploughed a stupid amount of money (for someone who isn't a billionaire oil tycoon). She has paid the transfer fee for some fantastic players, and payed the loan wages for other players we idolised, out of her own pocket.

What else do you expect from her? She's a TV Cook. Are people mad she isn't a footballing mastermind!? No one moaned in the Championship and league one where she paid for players and players wages out of her own pocket to keep us afloat.

Maybe just ease off a bit. I don't know what more you expect from her.

(I'm not attacking anyone, or trying to stir, but seriously! She has tried her best, and saved us many times. She is a TV cook, and I think most of the money she has earned through her life of work, she's pumped into the club to just keep it afloat. For fans to hate her after that, I think is so, so sad. Just leave her alone.)

Totally agree with you Lines, but some people are so prejudiced against her, that they can´t see past the end of their noses. I didn´t hear anyone complaining when she almost single-handedly funded the Darren Huckerby transfer, or when she appointed McNally ( still the best appointment the club has ever made). She´s spent packets on this Club, and she deserves credit and respect for it, rather than the recrimination she gets most of the time.

Speaking as someone with no plans to attend any more games this season I am fully behind the board and coaching staff.
Any of you travelling 100s of miles to watch the side play spending 100s of pounds will be branded as disloyal pant-wetters if you moan .<laugh>

We know that it has been Farke who led us into this current mire.

So, Celtic manage to muster three (3) points from 6 Champions League games -
and yet they qualify for the Europa League knock-out stages! :emoticon-0112-wonde
Yep, that seems perfectly fair to me <doh> <grr>

You highlight some of the problems, she plainly isn't a footballing expert and this has led to so many poor decisions made or not made. As for us folding or being saved, has there ever been real proof of that? In financial disarray certainly, but under her tenure it got worse and after in theory saving us, were any further saves, not surely then of her own making? If she was any good, why did debt spiral to the extent that she was forced to get more financially and footballing astute people in to run things. After our relegation to the 3rd tier (Another not entirely stella advert for her tenure!)
That she invested a large proportion of her wealth in the club is not indispute, how well she did so is very much up for debate.
What do I expect from her? Not very much after years of poor decision making. We currently have a board made up of her croanies, not one of them with any great previous for running football clubs. It's no co-incidence that whilst we had Bowkett and McNally at the club the direction was generally upwards and since their departures it has been decidedly downwards.
As for easing off, I'm not calling for her head inspite of all of that, because whilst I don't trust her to make the right decisions in general I think as I said on the "how long do we give her" thread. In trying the DoF route we are at least in with a better shout moving forward of making the self-funding model a chance. (I.e. Delia and the board are distanced from making football decisions)
Would I be happy to see her gone? Yes, even if for another person and board that wished to self fund, I think the devil we know is not very good.
As an example, what if we got a Fernandez, I'd say with a bit of luck and a better manager making more sensible signings, QPR had a great chance of staying in the PL. Had he bought us, we had at least a 50:50 chance of staying in the PL longer term, he was looking at investing when Lambo was still here, might he of sanctioned the signing of Benteke? Might he have had a better relationship with Lambert leading us to a better place? The risk would be as that of QPR that if Lambert/other manager failed then the pot was empty. But as far as I can tell that is where we find ourselves now anyway.
All conjecture of course, but I don't see why I should like/love Delia when she has done as much wrong as right, given that interview and is no less guilty of having the club as a play thing to impress her friends than a foreign billionaire, OK she perports to love the club which another invester might well not, but anyone who might start putting millions in will have a very good reason for running it far more professionally than has been the case under Smith.
So do I hate her? No of course not, do i like her, not really, but neither of those things are particularly important. Do I respect her and her running of NCFC, no not really, as much as it has been well intentioned it has also been too often incompetent.

    Bah!
