I am astonished at just how many people on this thread come from dysfunctional families. Nobody in my family is a Skate fan so we never had a social worker visiting regularly.

AS my family come from Portsmouth, my brother supports Pompey but not seriously anymore. Says when he was young, he alternated Saints and Pompey so he could go to football most weekends. Apparently common then. My son is Saints (converted from ManU).

Mum from Burnley, supports Burnley, Dad is an Argyle fan from Plymouth, I've been a Saints fan since the early 70s (was taken to the Dell by my Grandad - first game I ever saw live so was hooked. I was brought up in Somerset so had a choice of going to see either Bristol team or Yeovil. My Grandad hated driving in Bristol, and refused to take me to Yeovil because they played in the same colours as Celtic!!? (Don't ask)
I was the only Saints fan in my family but am converting my son - he's got to the point of checking their results first and texting me about results and things, so making progress.

I love a wee dram of scotch it is my favourite tipple. It is the only good thing to have ever come out of Scotland.

I think you meant Scots hater in which case I am with Optimisticsaint on this.

PS I am a confirmed Scottish Nationalist as I thnk they should be given full independence today.

scotch is also a word for scottish people <ok>

Me: Saints ex-Spurs
Bro: Saints ex-Liverpool
Bro's wife's sister: Pompey
Nephew (11 months old!!): Saints!
Dad: Saints
Mum: Millwall/Chelsea
Grandad: Millwall/Chelsea
Aunt: Chelsea
Uncle: Chelsea
2 cousins: Liverpool
2nd Cousin: Villa

I keep trying but none of them will see the light.....

Close family are saints fans, one set of cousins are Charlton fans, a few are chelsea fans and some are sunderland fans. The son of Gordon Watson (flash gordon) is a friend of mine and he's a bloody united fan! Typical! My cousin who is a chelsea fan is a very rich business man and knows the owner of Bari (italian football club) and was invited to sit in the owners box when they played ac milan and met all the Milan players, he's got the pictures as proof. Just one of his many football storys I'll let you know if he hears anything about saints!

I asked him if he had heard of Cortese, he said he hadn't but I think I saw fear cross his eyes!

(sorry for the slightly off topic answer and over use of brackets.)
