Well if we can’t get out of that group we need shooting, but we’ve been there before & failed against lesser sides.
No real "Group of death" draws amongst that lot - couple of tasty matches though...Spain v Portugal, Egypt v Saudi Arabia should be interesting too!

Every group game is in a different city, thousands of miles apart. That’s nice for the fans, they get to see the country and contribute to its foreign exchange reserves. Game against Tunisia is in what used to be called Stalingrad. Tin hats at the ready!
Assuming we qualify, Poland or Colombia in round of 16, Brazil or Germany in the Quarters. Lost interest in plotting our route to glory at this stage.

I watched it live. If that was fixed, I don't know how they did it.
As for England's group...........no complaints.
Brazil's group is very tough and Argentina could well fail to get of their imo.
I said before the draw that the Russians would have bought the easiest teams. I was not wrong. I wonder how much Gary Salt and Vinegar got in his brown envelope?
Yes a good draw for both England and Poland, although for once I actually wouldn’t have minded if both teams were in the same group.
Poland’s group looks relatively easy on paper, but it is “exotic”, thus it could have some nasty surprise.

England World Cup draws are rather reminiscent of Rangers FA Cup 3rd Round draws. All very exciting but you know they’re going to get knocked out!
