Don't do social media at all but I accept it has become an alternative for some. I'm just of the opinion that an online open football forum is a far better option to discuss the game as it's open to everyone to view and comment on - especially opposition posters who wouldn't otherwise get involved.

New posters and returning long standing ones on here will be warmly welcomed. <ok>

I enjoy talking to those who do post on here but the danger is that a decreasing volume of threads/posts can lead some existing posters to think "why bother".

If that were the case then it would certainly go down the pan as a viable forum. It's bad enough in the international breaks, but when we're second in the league and winning games like we are instead of playing crap and losing, we deserve better input on here.

I do try with stuff other than football but not even my controversial views get debated.......think the most interaction ive had with a poster on here over the last year has been with William after he lost his peace and launched a tirade at me <laugh>....twas truly brill and I hadn't laughed that hard for a few years :emoticon-0182-poolp
 
Aber - I don't see anything wrong with arguments on here as long as it doesn't get personal - and even only then if it becomes OTT. There are some that don't bother with your preferred subject matter either because they don't agree with you or have little interest. Others may want an argument and then it can all kick off - maybe avoidance of the subject is then a better option. <ok>

Because of the absence of posters on here recently, I've spent a bit of time on the Wurzel board - and still do. I get on well in a "rivalry" sort of way with them and there are some vey decent posters over there, but you always get one ****er who goes down the "sheep-shagger" route when they're losing out...<laugh>

Aber - I wasn't referring to you posting your views. When I said "maybe avoidance of the subject is then a better option", I meant for those who disagreed with them.

You post what you like on here buddy. <ok>

It's when others who disagree with your views, and from memory your colourful language <laugh> respond to it that causes the flare ups. If they don't want to argue with you, then they shouldn't post.

To be honest it's not been a conscious decision to stop posting, I've just been spending less time online all together.

Ironic that I stayed positive through 4 years of **** and I've gone missing for the best season we've had in years...... I'd be smashing you lot in the prediction league with my "City win every game strategy" if I was still involved <laugh>

I will admit to the odd bit of lurking and I'll make more of an effort to post when I am here <ok>
