To think he still gets stick off people is ridiculous.

He's ran the show tonight and that third goal, to hit it first time was absolutely unreal.

Haaaa, they've just made it 4-0 too. Unlucky Moyesey.

Lad has been absolutely superb, the mind boggles how folk can’t give him credit.

Record goalscorer United and England, starts and ends at his club.

Nailed it lad, nailed it.

I can’t say I watched it to that kind of detail so didn’t notice him in all honesty. Did Notice the number 4 for Atlanta who ran the show.

That’ll be Cristante no doubt he’s superb, was expected to be a really top player went to Benfica randomly and disappeared but this season he’s been a ****ing beast.

That's the one - apparently Juve been looking at him all season too - looks a right player.

Hell, get them up the league safe and solid. Don't think that will be enough for the Everton fans who'll expect to be back up to that 6th sport pushing the top 5 from next season. Which I don't think Sam can do.

I expect Sam to do what he's always done, get his Team organised and fit and make them safe.

However his contract is, at present, only for eighteen months.
This is the first time he has had a 'Big Club' to manage and I'd like to have seen if he can achieve more that staving off relegations and WIN a trophy or two.

Brilliant appointment for them. Think he' a stepping stone to success. He'll build very strong foundations.

I always feel these types of goals (Rooneys long ranger) as being over rated. It didnt exactly need good vision, Hart was obviously out of his goal, yes he struck it well, but any player in the premier league could strike a ball from the half way line into an open goal. Now his over head kick against Man City.........

Hitting the ball first time with that power from that distance was a fantastic skill and cannot be overrated..

I just think most attack minded professional footballers should be able to do that, have got that in them. Ive just watched Rooneys top 20 goals on you tube. A wide range of different types of goals, all of them are better than that one he scored last night. All of them only genuinely talented players could do.

It’s the fact he hit it first time with the pace on the ball coming towards you. Presume you’re not much of a footballer if you can’t appreciate how difficult that’d be to pull off.

Reckon you could pick 100 pro footballers to have one attempt at it and I bet less than 10 manage it.

Rooney said it after the game it’s the sweetest he’s ever struck a ball.
