This is why I don't think that VAR will actually change anything.
They'll use it to punish the Niasses of this world, not the Lukakus.
Any guess on the three refs on that panel? I'm going with Howard Webb, Mark Clattenburg and Alex Ferguson.

Gaeten Bong ffs? He's lucky Lukaku didn't try to smoke him.
I can see why the ref missed it at the time, but nobody's looking at that replay and saying it's not a red. That's ridiculous.
He kicked out at him twice and caught him in the balls, FFS. How is that anything other than a sending off?
Having said that, Foster kicked a ballboy in our game and nobody's even mentioning it, so what do I know?

First time I'd seen the incident and only just picked up that he has got away with it scot free ... have to laugh ... Robert Huth got a 3 match retrospective at OT for tugging Fellaini's barnet and taking an elbow to the face in retaliation ... I've a suspicion that the elbow might have been a tad more dangerous but they got the same ban ... possibly because Fellaini's was a first offence of that nature, perhaps?

I'm not sure if that's a criticism of the current boxing scene or that pair of dirty twats, to be honest. Bit of both, probably.
