The girl that got punched in the back said she was taking a SOS flag bearing the word "Defiance", the police said it was "political" which she refuted, so after picking it up from the where they'd thrown it she was punched in the back.
They were certainly told by their superiors to be heavy handed with our supporters because there were plenty of other incidents.
Hopefully investigation will disclose what went on and suitable punishment dished out. <ok>

what i find worrying is that they have as little faith in seeing out an away game when under pressure as we have. Just as we all started panicing at 1-3 so did they.
Well I'm blaming you. You can't write down that the opposition need to win they sit back and complain when they try to do just that <grr> <laugh>

That's where we needed leaders and calm heads. **** all of either in our team.
Too many hoof and hopes in the second half. When the players are interviewed after and say they knew what to expect second half, you're thinking, well why didn't you act like it then?

You're exactly right, we have no leaders in the team atm.

Not a prayer of that happening, mate. Sevilla will make it your fans' fault.........just like they did to us 10 years ago..........

http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/uefa-cup/2006-2007/spurs-fans-charged_sto1141254/story.shtml

I was there, we didn't start it, just as your fans won't have.
That's shocking mate, I should remember it but I don't. English fans have been on the receiving end of police brutality all over the continent for quite some time. There's a [wrong] view that the English are trouble so out come the batons etc to keep them 'in control' when the vast majority are over there for the footie and the fun.

There's some really vile comments on the BBC Seville v Liverpool match thread(HYS), it's more than about time the BBC got a grip of its modding system, it's still the same as it was on the original 606, persistent offenders never get banned and just repeat the crap and lies about disasters without a care in the world.

Brainless ****s, the lot of them <grr>

They'll never have been to a game in their lives.......

@661 have United gone through a game without one of their players kicking a spectator in the chest?
Just like the Cantona incident it happened once, Fellaini is throwing his elbows in to players faces week in week out

@657 we know it happened and acknowledged it happened, there is a Heysel Memorial on the wall at Anfield, also 14 Liverpool fans were jailed for manslaughter, what more do you want?

@654, nobody was murdered, involuntary manslaughter isn't murder is it?, unless you have re-written the law, Liverpool fans involved were jailed in the aftermath along with the Chief of police of Brussels, the families did what they could under the laws of Italy and Belgium at the time, so what is it your looking for?, maybe retro hangings?, we weren't all there so why pretend we were.

Disgusting what people will say just for attention. It is about time the BBC banned some of these but didn't they used to rely on other users reporting them?

They still do rely on other users reporting them jb, but between them appearing and deletion people all around the world can see the hate and bile, what a poor advertisement for the so called British institution.
