True enough, Sevilla are a good side. Are they as good as the UEFA Cup winning side?.................probably not

I would say absolutely not. you are right but they are still 5th in last liga and only 2 points off real and atletico.

they are a serious side.

they've a couple defensive injuries

Utd 0-0 home
Maribor 7-0 away
Spurs 1-4 away
Huddersfield 3-0 home
Maribor 3-0 home
West ham 4-1 away
Southampton 3-0 home.

5 goals in 3 away games
0 goals conceded at home.

Played bottom half teams since spurs debacle has put us all in good form but we can't assume Seville are not a step up on what West ham and Southampton served up v us.

Showed stats after spurs game. Think we’ve conceded 1 goal at home so far this season? And about 13 away or something stupid?

Admittedly teo two of those games have been hammerings at Spurs and city, but crazy how can be so different!

Just checked.

6 games Home 6 away.

12 goals scored Home. 12 away.

1 goal conceded at home (best with United). 16 conceded away. The worse in the league! Break it down and 10 of those were in 2 games. So the other 4 conceded 6 goals which actually isn’t horrendous?

yes that's right one goal at home.

it really is odd

interesting

first matip is out.

second My prediction:

Karius,
Gomez Lovren Klavan Moreno
Wijnaldum, Henderson Coutinho
Salah firmino Mane

Subs: mingolet, Milner, Sturridge, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold.

third: Lallana won't make the 18 IMO

Fourth: We look short of defenders so I think grujic won't make the bench but taa will. Robertson will not.

When Ben Woodburn sees Dany Ings going ahead of him dies he think "**** this!"?

ings is in the quota for homegrown players over 21. he may have to be included.

woodburn however.... well... in all seriousness would he ever get near the pitch in an away game v a top 5 team in spain?

Ings is only making up the numbers imo. there is zero chance he'll be near the side. He's on the plane cos of his age and birth place. woodbrun is 18 so too young to do that.

If it's for technical reasons then fine but if not Woodburn should at least be travelling and getting that experience.

there is a case for that.

this is not new though. woodburn was not in the squad for maribor either. ings was and continues to be. he's nowhere near playing.

But they are nowhere near close to Woodburns level.

well..... are they?

one might take the wales aspect of this out of the equation and compare what wilson is doing every week in u23s to what woodburn has done this season and say you know what? wilson deserves a seat on that plane more.

Ejaria is mixed for me. woodburn is probably better but then again he is a straight cm with lots of competition.

The others are in on technicalities as well.

Its hard on these kids but the reality is woodburn needs to develop. how many experiences of plane trips and hotels does he need? he's had planety. he needs games and he was never coming on in this game.

If we need a forward it will be others. Tough on kids... but thats the reality.

The other aspect I'm detecting is klopp gets a 16 man squad together and anyone not playing is not going to get a chance to play. robertson speaks to that.

Klavan came in recently for lovren and looked very rusty, he wasn't subbed on v spurs.
