It's been announced that the new TV rights package [to run from 2019/20] will include a minimum of 22 additional games, more mid-week games and Saturday night games [7.45 kick off].

On the grounds that Huddersfield v WBA and Stoke v Swansea aren't going to repay the additional £billions it's going to cost the multiple broadcasters who bid, it looks like we'll be seeing even fewer Saturday 3.00 pm kick offs than ever. Excellent.

When do we start to schedule games in the middle of the night to satisfy foreign broadcasters?

Don't worry. Pochettino, Kane, Alli and Eriksen will be in Spain by then. We'll be bracketed with the West Broms and so not feature very often.

What a good idea (TIC) . Here in Central/East Africa we are at least 2 hours in front of GMT with Kenya, Somalia and Eritrea 3 hours in front. Supersport (African equivalent of SKY Sports) show every single Premiership match live. The problem is that when one gets up for work at 4:00 am (2:00 am GMT) watching a match kicking off at 20:00 pm GMT (22:00 CAT) means that it is too late. However, if matches were to kick off at one o'clock in the morning (03:00 CAT), I could get up an hour early in the morning and watch a match before I went to work. It may even work to popularise football in the US with live matches kicking off between 17:00 and 20:00 depending on exactly where one was. I'm sure RWAEB and Smithy would approve.

Furthermore, it would be far easier for fans in the UK to travel to mid-week matches without any of that pesky rush-hour traffic to contend with. I think you may have cracked it (NOT) Brian.

Saturday night games are a ridiculous idea. Especially when you consider the fact that the PL will probably ask for Chelsea v West Ham and us v arsenal to be played after a day on the lash.

Asking for trouble and the whole thing is pandering to the American market so they can settle down to a nice 'super soccer saturday lunch' while we deal with inebriated cavemen.

No, they'll pick something like Bournemouth v Newcastle, like they do for the early kick-offs. **** the traveling fans.

Sunderland fans are up there with the best, but the club is in a terrible mess at the moment and has been for 2 years. I think Colman has made a poor decision here.

Gilet Tim has been at it again..............

"I always knew I was only getting until the end of the season and my win percentage was 59 per cent - which is high. When the guy they have now took over from me, it wasn't broken. It was a steady ship and he has now added to it."

"The guy the have now." THE GUY THEY HAVE NOW? <laugh>

Mate, everyone knows that you're the crap bloke before Mauricio Pochettino.
