I wasn't complaining about immigration. I was complaining about Blair using it as a means to an end and not thinking through the consequences.

I've got over 30 years in the NHS. I know just how much we'd struggle without foreign workers. Same with agriculture round my neck of the woods. Couldn't do without the seasonal workers.

Seasonal workers and EU farm subsidies. 58% of farmers voted for Brexit.

I did 16 years in the NHS and worked directly with the CCG's, so I understand the issues around funding for services. I agree with you about the lack of provision given the population the services have to provide for, but I disagree that immigration is the issue that causes the strain on the NHS (as I've pointed out)

Other than the lack of funding due to Govt not putting enough in. The other big issue is privatisation. The CCG's are actively encouraged to commission 'best value' services (which often translates as 'cheapest') which are provided by the private sector (as they pay **** wages and generally offer a less comprehensive service). The private sector will also cherry pick easy and cheap services to deliver, which leaves the expensive and difficult parts to an ever more underfunded NHS to pick up.

  12. Blair lied to Parliament and to the British public. For that alone he should be held to account. British soldiers and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi women and children died because of Blair’s lies. Let us not be coy about this.

I live in Cornwall which voted to leave the EU. Practically every farm down here had a 'Vote leave' banner on display during the campaign. Due to Brexit, those farms now stand to lose millions in EU subsidies and we currently have a situation where crops are being left to rot in fields because there aren't enough migrant workers to harvest them.

There's a lad in our pub, Cornish, (no imagination spared coming up with that one), wants to leave 5 minutes after walking in. It's just in their genes!
