Wow this place is dangerous. From our cossetted, civilised perspective, getting to and from the circuit seems to be a real-life video game which gets yearly updates.
Danger lurks around every corner, regardless of how many times it's been rounded before. The 'circuit' to get to the circuit is exciting for all the wrong reasons. For these people, life is cheap. Most live in abject poverty, right outside. The power vacuum is called 'give up or die son', and the race has become THE annual opportunity for wannabees and big-shots to out-perform each other.
Welcome to the Brazilian Gang Prix.
I remember years ago at the South African GP , one senior team member was walking along the beach with his partner , got stabbed ( survived ) .
