Mind you, he fits in perfectly well in the Beeston Working Men’s Club!! He thinks he looks reet champion to the lasses!! <laugh>
Well,I was a member of Tottenham Trades,TL&R and the old Enterprise club.Bloody hell, mate,I was one of the boys at 17 !
"Eyes down!"
"The start of it all, number 1"........

Norn Iron go down 1-0 at home to Switzerland. A very flat performance topped off by some poor refereeing. Jonny Evans yellow card means that he misses the return leg. An uphill battle awaits.......Come on lads.

What an appalling decision the penalty was.

Absolutely dreadful. When nobody from the attacking side appeals for a penalty, you've got it badly wrong..........no VAR means whole nation suffer from officials' mistakes. The system needs sorting and implementing soon but this is FIFA, so it'll be a shambles.

Dier to Captain England, hopefully he will sprain his wrist putting the armband on.
Funnily enough, I had just been thinking that with his consistent level of performance and strengths on the pitch, together with some very mature press conferences lately, he was developing into captain material - for club and country.
Guess we are blessed with options at Spurs - all different in their own way - but Eric offers the nearest to an old-fashioned on-field ‘leader-by-example’!

Been saying for a while that I see Dier as future Spurs captain material, has all the ingredients for it. Good to see Southgate recognises this for the international stage, too.

Just after we scored the second goal against Madrid, we had a defensive wobble that ended up with Kieran Trippier clearing the ball off the line. Harry Winks passed to Dele Alli, who just waited for the ball and had it taken away from him. Then Harry Winks hit a misplaced clearance across the area, straight to Kroos. He hit a dangerous looking shot that Eric Dier headed over, that corner resulted in the Trippier clearance.

When the corner was conceded, Eric Dier went beserk at the right side of our defence. Fists pumping, ranting at the characters that let Marcelo cross the ball and failed to clear the resultant ball. It's been a while since I've seen someone that pumped, that determined not to let the bastards score. I liked it. I want to see lots more of it. I love Eric Dier and Eric Dier loves me.

Our next captain? He'd get my vote right now.
