Cheers cologne.

Getting off football and on to athletics - it recently came to light that, at a Games opening ceremony watched by millions around the world, one of the two operators of the Games mascot was 'under the influence of drugs' as he helped it move around the stadium - yet no-one noticed at the time.

Which Games and which mascot?

Was it Matilda?

Whoops - we posted at the same time...

Yes, it was Matilda in Brisbane, 1982. The giant 40ft kangaroo was operated by two men - one driving the forklift truck on which she sat & the other inside her head controlling head & eye movements. It was the guy in the head who was stoned - it only came to light recently that the ceremony's producer had asked him why Matilda apparently winked at Prince Philip...

Over to you.

Well a quick Google search gives two possibilities
1. The two little girls on the left - Amelia Earhart and her sister Muriel (according to Getty Images)
2. The Daily Mail says they are Margaret Thatcher and her little sister Muriel

The lady on the right looks like actress Leslie Caron to me - but could be an older Amelia Earhart?
