"It's the worst possible start to the half for Arsenal, who were furious at that penalty decision." (BBC Football Live commentary) It's going to be fantastic listening to Wenger going ape-**** over that, in the post-match interview!
"Arsene Wenger started complaining as soon as the penalty was awarded and remained with the nearside assistant and fourth official Andre Marriner until after Sergio Aguero scored. He alternated who he was talking to but he seemed to be pointing at the middle of the field, either where a decision had gone against his team, or where a similar incident to the one that left Raheem Sterling sprawling had gone unpunished." (BBC Football Live commentary) So predictable! All Wenger does is moan at the 4th official. He doesn't coach. The FA are going to be as pleased to see the back of the old git as are the fans and the players!
City 2 v 1 Arsenal (LuckyZette, 65 mins) **** me! Arsenal manage to score a goal!!! The Gunners regain a smidgeon of pride. Will it last, though?
Out with the family today, just had a lovely roast. Off to watch the murmurations now. See that we’re 3-1 down. Soft pen and a offside goal being reported ?
"A 'soft' penalty and an 'offside' goal. They will be chief in Arsene Wenger's post-match comments no doubt. He's still in the ear of fourth official Andre Marriner. No idea what he's supposed to say." (BBC Football Live commentary) The post-match interview just got a whole lot funnier! Wenger is going to go absolutely ape-****!
"Arsene Wenger was not happy at all with that goal. As the teams made their way back to the halfway line, the Arsenal manager was watching the big screen high in the corner to his left, presumably to see whether the goal should have been disallowed. Granit Xhaka just gave fourth official Andre Marriner a piece of his mind as he made his way off, and Wenger has gone for the follow-up. I really would not want that job." (BBC Football Live commentary)
"I'm not sure anyone ever was saying Arsenal had title hopes this season but they will be 12 points behind City after this one. They do stay above Burnley on goal difference though." (BBC Football Live commentary) Superb wummery!
I wonder if this is what Wenger was screaming at the 4th official... "You have cost me my ****ing job, you cnut!"
Is Lacazette not fully fit to last 90 mins of PL games against top 6 teams ?? I see no other reason other than more Wenger losing the plot, for him to not be in the starting XI.
Pics if poss mate. Used to love seeing them where I grew up before the area got swallowed up by the suburbs. Now I get to see the seagulls congregating around Bray harbor at sunset before they feck off to sea for the night.
