So, Arsenal whimper through to the knock-out stages of the Europey League, but only with a massive hand from Cologne. It's great that they've found their level, at last, having humiliated themselves time after time in the grown-up competition (ie. the CL), but my worry is that they are letting their standards drop to match (comparatively) how mediocre they were in that competition. Are we going to see them humiliated by the likes of Celtic, in the next round? I truly hope not.
That was last season, Pix. This young Spurs team, along with its young and talented manager, are gaining experience with every passing season. Whereas Arsenal stagnated in the same place for 20 years, as "Le Prof" (no, lads, please don't laugh!) grew more and more fossil-like in his ways, THFC has taken massive strides forward, slowly gaining momentum, until we see the on-rushing juggernaut of today! It has been a slow, but steady journey forward. Yes, you can scoff at our apparent lack of achievement, but this is what I know: (a) Spurs look the real deal, (b) Arsenal looks like a spent force. Learn to deal with it, mate.
You think qualifying with two games spare is an embarrassment ? This is why you’re better off sticking to doing magic card tricks mate.
You got through due to a massive favour from Cologne! Well done, mate. Don't try and tell me that you didn't sit there, on your Mother's sofa, ready to **** over a decent display, and come away frustrated and feeling soiled! It was an embarrassment to English footy, and you know it, mate.
No we got through because we have amassed the most points. We have two games to spare so could even add another 6 points to that total. Not doing much to dispel your ‘scratch the surface knowledge’ here Forrest
I know you only have a scratch the surface knowledge of football, but you can look at the table and see it for yourself if you like ?
