Being rumoured that we might be looking to bring Bachary Sagna in as he's out of contract ... might still have a couple of season's in him.
Would be a good shout - is 34 and his legs have gone a bit but is still more attacking then Simpson and if we do play Gray there, would be good to have someone ridiculously experienced behind him.

I genuinely think that a Simpson is class. Am I bonkers?

Is an old school RB and was good at his job but is deteriorating now like Morgan.

Also 2 seasons ago, Mahrez had free reign and we needed someone to do all the defending but nowadays Mahrez is getting multiple players marking him and a side effect is that there is space there to be attacked but we don't have anyone doing so.

West Ham are favourites to sign Sagna - he still lives in London close to them.

Should go all out in signing him for at least this season as competition for Simpson might wake him up.

Not we have a new manager we have new transfer rumours!

The big one is that we are after Hatem Ben Arfa who is out of favour at PSG - lots of rumours that he would be willing to join his old manager Puel here and could be a good replacement for Mahrez if he leaves as Arsenal are interested again.

Here is one for Ed - we are linked with Oghenekaro Etebo from Portuguese club CD Feirense. He is a 21yo Nigerian LW and won the CAF Most Promising Talent award in 2015. FYI the winner of the 2013 and 2016 awards was Iheanacho.

Slimani is a target for Crystal Palace and they are desperate enough to pay more the £29M that we paid for him.

(Could a mod change the title to Winter Transfer Window or Jan Transfer Window or whatever the preferred nomenclature is)

I think Slimani is needed as a different option here but, if we did get rid, that sort of works for everyone. Ben Arfa goes against everything we stand for - apparently is a lazy twat. Loving the obscure one!!

Apparently has grown up since he left Newcastle - Puel got the best out of him at Nice and he was back in the French national team before he stagnated at PSG.

Would be available for bugger all - rumours are that PSG would be willing to release him on a free so would be worth a shot imo.

...and if he gets any billy big bollocks ideas, Robert Huth gets to whisper in his ear ... firstly whilst it is still attached to his head ... and if that's not working...<whistle>

But why would they be willing to do that unless he was still being a dick?

They bought Neymar for £200M who plays in the same position - basically signed him first but then bought Neymar and tried to force him out by relegating him to the reserves but he has put his head down and made it back to the first team.

Actually puts him in a good light and shows how much he has grown up.

Hopefully he continues to impress and PSG have no alternative but to send us Neymar on a 5 year loan whilst still paying his wages :emoticon-0136-giggl

Shakespeare is tipped to becoming Everton's assistant manager under Sam Allerdyce and one of their first signings looks to be Slimani - if they can fork out the cash then fair enough.

Watford are also interested - Silva knows Slimani from his Sporting Lisbon days.

I’m thinking where we really need to strengthen and if everyone is available it’s not much

Schmeichel is one of the best albeit had a couple of bad ones this season, was excellent last week

RB - need a top class RB/RWB - priority

CB - would like to see more of Dragovic but Morgan has come good recently and Maguire started the season well - maybe room for one more but only as a top class starter not a squad player

LB - really want to see Chilwell develop and make it his own

CM - Ndidi, Silva and Iborra great options

Winger - Gray and Mahrez with Albrighton as back up - good enough as we won’t always use them all

CAM - Mahrez is good there and rumours of Ben Arfa - Barnes also has a bright future there

Stocked on forwards with Vards, Nacho and Slim as well as Shinji

Think we only need a RB with Cb and CAM desirable

CAM was the priority last summer, we should get that Silva guy as soon as the window opens as top priority!

I don't see Ben Arfa coming unless Mahrez leaves, would imagine we are pretty much at wage capacity for where we're looking to finish unless some move on.

RB would be nice, been no competition since De Laet left for that pure RB spot.
