Good solid performance away yet again Stiepermann was brilliant.

Whoscored had Stiepermann MotM with a rating of 8.2, closely followed by Madders on 7.6. Klose had his best game in a while with 7.5 and Wildschut had 7.4. The rest were all around 7 points. Great result and great to be in the top 6 with two home games to come.

1 Wolves 13 11 29
2 Cardiff 13 8 27
3 Sheff Utd 13 7 27
4 Leeds 13 9 23
5 Aston Villa 13 6 22
6 Norwich 13 -1 22
7 Bristol City 13 6 21
8 Preston 13 6 21
9 Derby 12 4 19
10 Fulham 13 3 18
11 Ipswich 12 2 18
12 Nottm Forest 13 -4 18

not sure having 2 home games is to our advantage at the moment. that said both Derby and Wolves will probably come with some ambition to do more than shut up shop.
Thought Hanley had a real impact when he came on. Suddenly we were winning some headers.

Bah!

That thought occurred to me as well, GM. Hanley got a score of 7 for his sub appearance, which is very unusual. I'd like to see him start against Arsenal.

From the BBC report on the game - "Maddison settled a tight but entertaining derby by slotting home a right-foot effort for his third goal of the season.
The midfielder found space on the break for the visitors and picked his spot effortlessly from the edge of the area past stranded Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.
It was the fifth time he has been involved in a goal for Norwich in the past four games with three goals and two assists." :emoticon-0102-bigsm

We have been waiting for years for a well organised solid defence that churns out clean sheets, If Klose and Zimmermann are fit they must play why tinker ?

For me it's not about tinkering, Hanley needs game time to stay Sharp, stay happy, build understanding for when called upon and to perhaps take Zimmermanns place. Zimmermann has done little wrong and the clean sheets speak for themselves but today every high ball we seemed second best until Hanley came on. Hanley could still be the better option.

Bah!

So what better game than Arsenal away to build confidence and find his feet ? <laugh>

People, Grant Hanley is cup tied, so will not be playing against Arsenal on Tuesday. Just like he didn't play against Brentford in the last round.
Drat

I liked the headline from yesterday's MFW - “Hand-in-hand through their Farkelife”, which now extends to a win over our nearest and dearest
I also saw this on JM's twitter account -

Edit - I see DF is expecting us to go forward - "Daniel Farke is an East Anglian derby winner but Norwich City’s head coach is backing his boys to achieve ‘something extraordinary’ this season.

Hanley did ok when he came on but he looked a bit clumsy just booting the ball out of play and jumping up for headers.
We didn't concede and it would be good to get some games out of him but only if one of the centre backs is injured or against a weaker opposition.
