So who disagrees ?...I have been to 3 pre-season games, anfield last week and the SOL today ?.

Get your red n White glasses off and realise he ain't the real deal, we will not score enough goals with Gyan leading the attack.

Gyan looked isolated today and I feel he needs a 'proper ' forward to partner him...Put Sess back to Midfield where he belongs.

He is having to do too much running after the ball when it's lumped up the pitch.
I would lose interest in doing that for 90 minutes.
As has been said he needs a strike partner and the ball passing to him, not some random area of the pitch for him to chase it.

All makes perfect sense to me..........

Football is a funny old game isnt it, if Gyans shot had flew into the top corner just before half time, instead of hitting the crossbar, he would have been seen as a hero.

I agree Gyan didnt have a good game, but he also didnt really get any service, when Sess got it, as good as he was, he went straight for goal on numerous occasions, Colback got a couple of good crosses in from the left in the 1st half, Gyan went to the near post but they were too hard for him to get onto, but we had no one coming in from the back post, to get on the end of them, thats the problem with playing 1 up front, the lone striker cant be in 2 places at once (near and far post).

Do i think Gyan will ever be a 20 goal a season striker, NO, but then there are not many of those about, even godlike Mr D Bent has only done it twice in the league, 1st season with us, and Ipswich in the Championship in 46 games. Will he get 10-15, yes, I think he will.

2010 Africa Cup of Nations Best XI
Man of the Match in 2010 World Cup (2): vs. Australia, vs. Serbia
FIFA Ballon d'Or: Shortlist Nominee (Top 23 players in the World)
BBC African Footballer of the Year:2010

Defiantly not ****.
As has been said many times we may not be utilizing his strengths in the way we should. But he's not ****.
