Not convincing....they really are mentally affected when playing at Wembley....could be a self fulfilling prophecy taking place but whatever it is...it's a poorer Spurs at Wembley

It's not as though we are setting up any differently...I'm sure Poch isn't saying anything different either

Wembley is a reall struggle for us isnt it.

First half we were so slow in posession, too many safe sideways passes. I know Bournemouth came and parked the bus but it was awful.

Started off well in the second, much quicker and got the goal but then we reverted back to a slow pace. As others have said Vertonghen was easily our MOTM, some great covering tackles and he crossed the ball well. Both our FB's/WB's crossed the ball well but we lacked the pace and athletisicm of Aurier and Rose. At CM Dier and Winks were too safe and predictable in their passing.

Kane has been in stupendous form but he was strangely not at it today. Maybe a little fatigue.

A much needed first win at Wembley in the league. Until we get our act together properly at Wembley we will just have to hope our away form carries on like it is.

Sack Conte
For me Conte is another Mourinho and I don't mean tactically. What I mean is that Mourinho was not the man in a crisis when Chelsea were failing, perfect when winning but not when losing, I think Conte might turn out to be the same.

Spot on.

It's not me excusing them but they seem a different team...why?

The reason is due to two things IMHO, and both are to
do with Pochettino :

1. Opposition come to park the bus, and are obviously
training hard pre-match to be able to do so.

So what is the coach doing ??

Is he setting up similar pre-match training against a
bus, where the squad is passing FAST / FORWARD
all session, NO controlling touches BEFORE passing etc ??

2. If he is doing 1, and the squad are STILL
playing as they have been, is he giving players the
hairdryer treatment for not obeying his edicts ??

I suspect neither of the above is happening.

I think the stadium does lead to more passing errors. Something to do with sightlines I think.. That saps confidence a little. When we play away teams are more likely to attack us which plays to our strengths. Also if the ground is softer and the grass longer that will slow us down. NKD had been on the pitch a very short while but did you notice the mud on his boots?

I expect the win will help us a little but I don't think this stadium is conducive to quick play.

The hallowed turf of the England national stadium
is not conducive to quick play ??

It is not "intelligent" grass that is configuring itself to
match the aptitude of the England senior teams.

Can you remember a fast slick game of football at Wembley?

Poor first touch in too many places. But for me it’s the final ball. It’s either played too slowly, inaccurately, or to nobody.

Lack of creativity in breaking down sides that come to defend. Which will be most of our visitors.
