Evandro: Still ruled out for Hull

Norwich will be without suspended forward Marley Watkins for the Sky Bet Championship clash against Hull.

Watkins, who subsequently withdrew from the Wales squad through an unspecified injury, was shown a red card late on in the win at Reading before the international break so starts a three-game ban.

Midfielders Mario Vrancic (calf) and Marco Stiepermann (groin) could be in contention again, while club captain Russell Martin is recovering from a back injury and forward Steven Naismith has an ankle problem.

Alex Pritchard has been stepping up his recovery from ankle surgery, while Matt Jarvis (ankle), Jamal Lewis (knee) and Louis Thompson (Achilles) also continue their rehabilitation.

Hull will be without defender Stephen Kingsley, who will be sidelined for at least four weeks after undergoing groin surgery this week.

Max Clark will continue to deputise for Kingsley at left-back, while striker Frazier Campbell is doubtful after sustaining a minor knee injury in the recent home win against Birmingham.

Evandro, yet to feature for the Tigers this season, is still out. The midfielder is now struggling with a quad muscle problem having recovered from a hamstring tendon injury.

Will Keane is hoping to return to action next month following a long-term knee injury and fellow striker Abel Hernandez (Achilles) will be out until next spring.

More info, injury list, team line-ups, etc to follow as it transpires.

Excellent Cromer - I think I'm handing over the MDT baton permanently, as you do far more research for it.

I'm not complaining and I'm happy for anyone to put in the effort but you'd have to go a long way to beat the efforts of KIO, I honestly believe he put more effort in than even the legendary CanariesSoccer! <ok>

I totally agree Dave and he's an almost impossible act to follow as far as his MDTs go!! <ok>

Yes, very true. This week I typed Norwich v Hull into the Skysports website and copied and pasted to my little heart's content <ok>
I could never even try and emulate KIO but in terms of a thread where people can comment, growl, praise, pour scorn upon, etc.
If somebody else is doing / wants to do one, they can easily be merged.

Can we have a poll please and snazzy team line up graphics on Saturday when the team is announced ?
<cheers>

Some rather gloomy news from today's presser - Tettey is injured and could be out for a couple of months, Josh has a broken toe and Basil is still not 100%, so will probably only feature as a sub.

Edit - I've just seen that we could see AP back in time for the numerous games over Xmas - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...ex-pritchard-s-recovery-from-injury-1-5236228

That injury news sucks! How in the world could Murphy practise with a broken toe? Even with "some tablets and some stabilising on his toe." That sounds really, really stupid to me.

It was a toe injury that blighted RvW at NCFC, not helped by Chris Hughton picking him to play. It was also a toe injury that ended Gary Lineker's playing career, let's hope our present management team don't hamper Josh's return by naming him in the team, or even on the bench!

Add to that, Dave, Nelson and Stiepermann with groin injuries still being considered for the bench. I have to question these decisions. Give them a chance to heal!!!
So, are we talking Dieumerci Mbokani in that statement - or always jestin' from Weston?

Anyway, an injury update from DF - anyone who does this 'guess the line ups' quiz best not look until they've sorted their teams for today out.

Given the reluctance earlier in the season to rush Oliveira back from injury, I'm hoping the risk being taken today is minor. The last thing we can afford is more injuries. From the presser, Stiepermann trained normally towards the end of the week, without any pain, so he's probably just not quite at full fitness.

So I make that Tettey, Murphy, Martin, Naismith, Jarvis, Thompson, Pritchard, Lewis all out, with Nelson and Stiepermann possibly recovered? Watkins suspended too.

From the EDP coverage - "City defence sleeping. Great run from Dicko, between CBs - played in, slips past Gunn.!!!"
WHERE have we heard that before????????? <doh>
