Sunderland do, whether they play well or crap we just have to accept that Newcastle are one of them teams that you get in football that you cannot get a result against.

It seems not to matter what formation Steve Bruce puts out they seem to have a hold over the team which has gone back a lot longer than the present incumbants have played or managed our club.

I think we all have to learn that these derby fixtures have to treated the same as any other no special hype, dont get involved in the usual slanging matches that go on between the fans and in time we might just might get our heads together and work out a way of ending this curse that seems to hang over us all as far as Newcastle are concerned.

So it was only three points so onwards and upwards and Im trying really hard to believe that.:undecided:

Hopefully a positive to take out of this result is that the squad will be strengthened with a proven striker and a left winger before the transfer window closes as Bruce must see we lack a threat up front.

Biggest bunch of losers i have seen since 2006 Bruce has to go now, always garbage when we play them and not getting Nzogbia and selling Bent and Jones as finished me with this club.

Bitterly disappointed. We`re a better team than them, we should be beating them on our turf. We need a new striker in. It was plain to see today.

Yeah we've lost a game this season, let's get rid. Not like he lead us to the top half for the first time in around a decade last season.

Jesus Christ: yes we were ****e in the second half today, but for God's sake look at the bigger picture...If we stop up this season, it will be our longest stetch in the top league since the 1950's, and we have improved steadily year on year...I bet Quinn feels his personal sacrifices that he has made for this club are well appreciated when he reads **** like this..

Aye. Top ten for the third time in fifty odd years. Lets get rid of Bruce eh?
One bad result against anyone can't lead to the sack can it? Are you that fickle?

That's the hard thing to take.

We know it. They know it. Today we had a chance to prove it.
    Major fail.

Why is it always those, that to be honest I can't really remember seeing here very often are always the first to jump up and shout 'Bruce out'?

Is this a new thing or have I not noticed it before?

TBH mate we have regular posters who just don't rate Bruce's tactics and can't wait to get rid of him.
For me though. I'll never try to second guess a bloke who has spent his life at the very top of the game.
I fear SB will always know a little more than I about Football.

Not one (quite yet) of the get rid of Bruce brigade but the guy is tacticaly foooooking clueless.
    Two defensive midfielders, F**K OFF.
    Richardson left back F**K OFF.
    Elmo F**K OFF
And why the F**K can't anyone take a throw in that goes to a team mate.

I don't rate him that much, but I'm not shouting Bruce out, we have a lot of new faces to accommodate into the first team and I don't think he's got used to it yet. I thought he'd learnt from last season but there's no evidence of that yet.

I'm not wanting bruce out i just wish he would wake up and realise he needs to get a quality striker in to partner gyan, someone who has pace and a physical prescence.
Not one attacking player got in the faces of the mag defenders.
