Too many square pegs in round holes. Tbh Im sure the Bruce out brigade were out by half time last week. But theyre so fickle they shut up as soon as we equalised.
His jobs on the line imo after that performance. I`ll gave him a few more games but I`ll need to see a drastic improvement.
Bruce plays too many players out of position and there is no excuse for that on day one of the season after signing so many players. Ask yourselves this, could Martin O' Neil do a better job with this squad of players? Imo YES!...

I'm 90% sure Ellis Short won't agree mate. I'm not a massive Bruce fan but two games into the season's no good to be saying someone's job's on the line.
Far from it, I'm no fan of Bruce and never have been but think we should support him (in the mean time). Alright forget about the "Brigade" and give an honest opinion of how long we should give him? By the way where did I say anything about anyone not being geniune Sunderland fans?
I think the wider problem is the effect it can have on some of our fans. No question attendances dropped after the 5-1 game, but that was away! There must have been less than 10,000 paying SAFC fans there. Think what the 40 odd thousand paying SAFC fans are going to think after this? So early in the season too, it sets the tone.
The players could bounce back like last year (We can only hope) But getting the fans back on board? Well if we dont win at SJP (Which is going to be even harder) then it could be another disappointing season for SAFC attendances, and general fan satisfaction.

It's really starting to piss me off being called part of a "brigade" because I don't think Bruce is up to the job.
I have as much right to voice an opinion as the pro Bruce lads.
Plus my opinion is based on his overall performance as Sunderland manager, not just one match!
Once again he got his tactics wrong for this game we should have had 2 up front.

10-15? Thats very lenient. If we arent up and running by the 8th or 9th game, he'll be a goner. The loss today will certainly act as a potential catalyst.

He should have went last year!
as long as he is Sunderland manager he will get my support (up to a point) but by the same token when his lack of tactical nous comes to the fore we should be able to say so without becoming a brigade.
Well we "should" beat Brighton, but Swansea away isnt going to be easy, Chelsea at home i cant see us getting anything, Stoke at home we should win (but if we dont..) then Norwich away, which again wont be a walk in the park, I can see if things dont go our way till after the Norwich game, thats when maybe the outcry will happen.
Lets face it though, 1st half we were better than them, 2nd half we were both as crap as each other, mignolets fault for the goal, and like i said on another thread, looked like a clone of Gordon for the most part (all at sea on crosses but a good shot stopper, like he proved against Cabaye and Gosling right at the end).

One problem I find with Bruce is when something works well maybe once or twice by coincidence, he seems to see that as a sign that its a brilliant tactic.
Example 1.
Last year against Wigan when Gyan got injured and we played with no strikers, only to score 3 goals. Bruce then tried the same tactic in the following games, saying how well it worked against a (Very poor) Wigan side. Obviously we got tanked by Fulham and Wolves subsequently. He even said so himself in the press conference how it was a legitimate tactic he would consider using again.
Example 2.
Larsson, last week played out of position, scored a belter against Liverpool, being marked by an unexperienced youth player who had a poor game. This worked against Liverpool, so guess what? Bruce tried it again against Newcastle and it didnt work.
It seems like he is too obsessed with tinkering, and taking luck and coincidence when things go right as "tactical genius". We'd do far better to put players in the position they actually learned to play, and keep a solid first 11.

I don't disagree with anything you're saying lad so you are arguing with yourself on that one, and I've already stated I shouldn't of used the Brigade term!
