They can't though, you lot just make up the numbers in the CL.

PSG absolutely humiliated you, and you parked the bus/caravan too.

The PL is a better league than the Jock league, yes or no?

And Watford make up the numbers in the EPL. If you aren't challenging for the league or the cups, then what's the point? You bottom feed off the big clubs (Gomes, Cleverly, Capoue = rejects), and the sole remit for every season is 'don't get relegated', alongside another 11 teams that hold the same 1 Season Objective.

As a football fan, how can you be happy with that? Genuine question. Celtic might play in a ****e league, but we still win trophies and get to play in the biggest club competition in the world every couple of seasons.

I get that it's popular amongst diddy team fans in England to downplay Celtic's achievements because it makes you feel better about Watford/WBA/Stoke/Whoever-you-support's banal existence in the diluted and foreign-owned Premier League, but if you were being fair you'd know you're speaking mince.

PSG destroyed us. Absolutely. No one disputes that FFS, but they destroyed Barca last season, have just battered Bayern, and they will do it to other better teams than Celtic - you're not telling us anything we don't know :cheesy: Were you surprised they beat us 5-0?
However, given your team earns about 100m for doing **** all, invested 40m or so in the summer, and STILL got horsed at HOME to Man City, then as per my point above, it's little wonder you think Celtic are ****e - I'd be beeling too if I supported anyone outside the top 6 in England.

Mindy claimed Celtic were one of the big teams in Europe. They're not. He thinks you're equals with Man City ffs.

I genuinely think we have a better team than you. We get to watch decent footy on a weekly basis, not watch our team win/draw against toothless alcoholics from the Scottish countryside.

This is a pointless argument as Celtic fans outnumber Watford fans 10-1 on here (at least), my original point still stands though.

Actually in the first half we stood back in awe of them. Played a lot better in 2nd half and saw the reject Roberts skin a few PSG players with ease. But they have bought 2 world class players so it will shine through.

The top 5 of the EPL are a marvellous cornucopia of wealthy players who amoung them muster enough talent to occasionally make a European Semi. The rest are equally overpaid and overpriced yet dont have the same talent.

Celtic would be better joining a breakaway league with the top 4 or 5 English clubs. Drop the rest of the best of the Scottish league in with the EPL so someone would actually pay to watch it.
 
Celtic aren't one of the best teams in Europe, no, but in terms of history, stadium, CL participation etc, they are actually quite big - seems silly to argue against that. What's the scoring system here also? Are they top 10? 20? I'd say, at a push, they're probably in or around the Top 50 or so - not sure what we are now, but it was 54 or so a season ago. Is that poor - should we be higher based on our resources, or is that impressive for a team from the 25th or so ranked European league?

What's decent footy as well? You're lying if you believe that week in and week out the EPL serves up scintillating end-to-end football, in the same way saying Celtic pump everyone 5 nil each week is a total pile of mince. I know that's ****e because I watch both leagues each week.

Also, I prefer the SPL to the EPL. I will watch MOTD weekly because the quality of the football is clearly better overall and teams like City and United have unreal squads, but the overall product is actually pretty ****e - it's almost Yankee with the fanfare and the build up. Maybe because I'm a horrible smelly fenian, but I enjoy the tedious drama that Scottish football throws up every week.

Sinclair is a good player. Probably not England class, but I'd have said the same for Sutton and Thompson as well.
