Just seen to score, the first game I have missed in ages. Bastards.
P.S. I'm in Vietnam now.

I was at a game in 1958 and we beat Oldham 9-0, not sure whether it was league or cup though. One of the first games I ever went to.

I was at that game too John. Pretty sure it was a League game. Those were the days when Bill Bradbury was banging them in, along with Alf Ackerman, Sid Gerrie, and Brian Bulless. Always good for a few goals. Best attacking team till Waggie and Chillo combined.
Year before I was born. I loved going with my old man and his mates to fer ark. Used to have a shoe box with me to stand on so I could see over the fence. Smell of smoke and beer. Sat in the car in the pub car park with my bag if crisps for an hour or so. Good times.
And you can stay there too if this is what happensJust seen to score, the first game I have missed in ages. Bastards.

I met sure I remember us beating Southend (?) 7-0 in our Div 3 champions season. Did Chris Chilton get 4 and John McSeveny 3?big wins..
Whitby 8-4
Kidderminster 6-1
Southampton 5-0
Fulham 6-0
Brum 6-2 & 6-1
Scunny 5-1
there was another one last time we were championship, think it was a 5-0.. anyone remember?
Come on Chazz. Admit you were at the Carlisle game when we scored 11
loved the games under the lightsIt's strange the smell at Boothferry Park was unique, it had an aroma all of it own which I loved, along with the wintergreen liniment the players put on.
City put 9 past Oldham in 1958, but there were only five scorers.
Today was only the second time ever that City have had six different scorers in a match - the previous occasion was our record victory against Carlisle United in 1939, which we won 11-1. The scorers were Dickinson (3), Cunliffe (2), Hubbard (2), Davies (2), Robinson and Richardson.
Stating the obvious, but the defence doesn't look to me like it can hold out under pressureExcellent win, enjoyed the game against a very poor Birmingham team. Need an away win now question is can our defence hold out when put under a bit of pressure? Enjoy this win its not often we get six.
Which is strange he didn't play Mazuch. Cos hector gives me nightmares and Aina is never in position.Stating the obvious, but the defence doesn't look to me like it can hold out under pressure
They struggled to hold out when a very poor Birmingham side came forward. And another late goal conceded doesn't bode well for matches when the last 10mins sees oppositions pushing for a winner or an equaliser
Really enjoyed the game, if you can't enjoy seeing your team score 6 then football really is dead, and we've certainly got a team that can score goals, but it also kept the focus on thinking about our defensive frailties for Slutsky IMHO

1-0, Bowen. But I bet it's still not great. Better, but not much.
Panty wettersI think I'd rather be in the garden shed than have another spoilt afternoon.
Hector looks good when he has a straightforward tackle to make, but looks easy to play round (or over!) and then looks lost *Which is strange he didn't play Mazuch. Cos hector gives me nightmares and Aina is never in position.
According to the talkSPORT reporter at the Leicester game Maguire had a 'mare yesterday.Hector looks good when he has a straightforward tackle to make, but looks easy to play round (or over!) and then looks lost *
Aina looked like he been told to keep it simple yesterday and not to default to going forward, but when he's faced with someone one on one he always looks like they'll get round him
*mind you I used to think that about Maguire!
I was one day old. Couldn't get to the game though![]()

That's Maguire and Clucas then - the fans think we've pulled their pants down with Clucas
