I have said numerous times we stop playing football when Smith is on the pitch.........we had a good start because he wasnt on it much. He is ok but should be last 15 minutes player if we need to change it.....

We were a lot better 2nd half Saturday when he and Samuel, and eventually Sylla came on. Smith wasn't great but we played far more attacking football with his aerial presence than we managed 1st half without any.

Yes, I agree with Oslo on this. Given the size of their team we should have started the match like this. Ollie got it wrong imo

He certainly got it wrong by playing Ngbakoto in the centre, but I don't agree that he should have started Smith. We should have been able to play around their giant CBs, but just lumped it high at Washington, who had no chance at all. If we are going to hit long balls at Washington, he needs them played into the channels. Smith obviously had more chance of winning said aimless high balls, but didn't seem to achieve it.

I think it is good that we have the different kind of strikers we have that allow us to vary and mix up our offensive football. I think Ollie has been doing that quite well this season. Unfortunately I don't think we have the quality up front ( or at the back) to get us into the promotion mix.
