Sunderland.
I know from a thread earlier in the week that one or two of the posters on here are heading to The Lambton Worm for a pre-match drink or two...
If you are going will you please give a quick self-description on here so that we can introduce each other...
I'm just the 'wrong' side of 50, short dark hair which is greying slightly at the sides, 5 ft 10" tall and about 15 stone. I should be quite easy to spot by my bright yellow ALS shirt and possibly a huge Sunderland hat, but probably won't have this on in the pub...
If anyone from here introduces themselves to me, I will gladly by you a pint as long as there is not to many waiting at the bar...
<ok>

When I read that you were doing a degree I really presumed you were in your mid 20's.

Learn something new everyday.

No: I was mad enough to take on the challenges of a degree in my mid to late forties (when I started), with three kids, the oldest being 16 now, and with a full time job as well...I will be very, very glad when my studies are completed in October...

I intend to be there for 9 ish Mr RAW. Little bit complicated, main details unimportant (mates travelling from Kent) however wearing a sunderland top means it will be easier me hunting you out. As you say shouldnt be difficult with aforementioned shirt.
I am short, fat bald wrong side of 50 but fortunately devilishly handsome.
Hope to see you there mate.

Look forward to it marra..<ok>

PS If anyone has a spare ticket my brother wants one: arrangements to collect it can be made...With him being a nurse, he didn't know that he could get to the game until it was sold out...But like me he is an absolute Sunderland nut, and deserves to be there..

Like you I'm the wrong side of 50, just, 6 foot, 14 stone, and looking for my hat, it's not the one you've got is it? And I'll have a black and white shirt on. I'm sure there'll be a queue to shake my hand and buy me a pint..... <laugh>

I'm sure Reg will buy you a pint sombrero and as for the hat, ever fancied a Fez? As long as Chappaz isn't with you then you should be ok?

Enjoy, wherever you are..

Wrong side of 40 Will be wearing last season at Roker shirt short brown hair spiked at the front will be there about 10:30

Are you studying with the OU? I feel your pain. Must be something about people our age as I did the same in my late 40's. When I look back I don't actually know how I did it with family, busy job etc. I enjoyed the courses but 4 years of October exams were hell. Funny though, after I finished I sort of missed it.

Sorry won't get to meet you, being from the dark side we stay north of the river. Enjoy though and let's hope everyone in red and white has a great day!

Yes I am with the OU: Thankfully I have finished all my exams, and it's just an end of module project to finish of my studies (loads of research and work though)...It has been hard, but it has also one of the most rewarding experiences I could have wished for. <ok>
