the season has started and this thread is to talk about the Away Support in the all of the leagues over the next couple of months
You shouldnt boast about your own team but i cant help to add a comment about the amazing away support from the green army. For example, last weekend we played Shrewsbury away which is a 10 hour round trip and we took 1207 which is amazing for the distance and the last three years we have been through. We constantly take a lot of away fans with every trip usually meaning a trek and not only are the numbers impressive its the amazing support and voice the green army make!
Think crystal palace might bring a mini bus and a couple of cars to Hull on Saturday . 50 to 60 maybe.
Yeah, but loyal Plymuff fans face that every game. Shrews away is nowt, think of the poor sods who traveled to Newcastle or even worse, Hartlepool.
Last season Wigan took 60 (SIXTY) fans to Tottenham. That's more than embarrassing. Best support I've seen Hull take anywhere was 8,000 to Hillsborough in 2004/2005 for a League One game.
Aye. Wigan's away support is embarrasing. We took a load to Barnsleh once, around 6-7K I think. Sometime in the 90's that, when I was 'ickle. We also outnumbered Scum at Wembley (their home ground tbh, a 2 minute stroll for their support)
wigan's fans= **** support home and away, over a thousand empty seats yesterday, first away game of the season and on a saturday, should be ashamed of themselves.
