    What excuse?, I'm pointing out the difference between deliberate and accidental, Mane doesn't need an excuse for going for a ball he was entitled to go for, his foot was high, the ref saw it as dangerous play and he got his marching orders, that's it in a nutshell but you seem agitated there's nothing more to add or say Diego?

    And I have never mentioned deliberate, I am pointing out the difference between controlled and reckless.
    Do you think defenders jumping in to get a ball stud people who get there first do it deliberately or are they just reckless and uncontrolled?

    Intent isn't important in this case. Intent is only important for violent conduct, eg kicking or attempting to kick an opponent. Serious foul play is about endangering the safety of an opponent by being reckless and/or careless, using force capable of inflicting serious injury. A broken face Is serious.

    I actually love Liverpool fan's defence of your player though, even though I think you have no grounds for complaint.
