I refuse to blame a higher power for any disasters these are things that happen in mankind and will continue

I also of course don't take in anything recorded by man in literature or the written word 5 Loaves and 2 fish from Asda will not feed White City in fact I know plenty of people who eat that lot in one go ... or some you would throw away 4 loaves and make a fish pate to present to guests invited to their party to launch the new instalment of their new bathroom

The Church for sure is a strange place but without them in the U.K. There would be no one distributing the loaves or fishes that ADSA throw away every day

I respect people who have found faith in whatever religion

We come from a country that rammed our religion down the throats of many areas of this planet while holding knives at their throats or simply setting fire to them

The above cannot be blamed on a higher power imo it was mankind all along

    Love thy neighbour ?

In the UK not that many who really know theirs IMO

I agree Religion made from mankind has ruined the world however having faith away from our basic sciences will always win it for me
The code of faith was given to man in many forms and so many religions have the same core morals this coming from a very big world then with next to no communications

Simply I believe those codes came from a higher power

As clever as we think we are we cannot solve any of the problems we have created there will always be a problem trying to produce any solution

    Faith helps with that imo

Another interesting survey says that 10% of British citizens believe in creationism, God put all the animals on the world in their current form. A further 22% believe in divinely guided evolution, and almost half can do without the god bit and just follow the science. My maths isn't great but that seems to leave over 25% with some kind of different opinion.

10 + 22 + 50? = 82 which leaves 18 unaccounted for? Is this science? 53% of all statistics are in truth made up on the spot
    Faith is therefore indexed linked

A big issue in the news in the U.S is Trump's decision to end the DACA programme (instituted by Obama), which protects the children of illegal immigrants from deportation. These are people who may have been in the U.S for twenty years and who will have been vetted for criminality before being accepted onto the scheme. This could potentially lead to 800,000 people (they are referred to as 'Dreamers') being deported. Aside from the humanitarian considerations, business leaders are describing this as potentially disastrous for the US economy, as these are people who are significant net contributors.

A bit like the damage that Brexodus will do to ours.

I guess God has no favorites, the Popes plane has to change course on the way to Columbia as Hurricane Irma blocks his path.

Apologies That was just my vision of future tax codes for the UK. We all know they take in back in many forms and with the rich no longer living in London and the financial sector split between Paris and Frankfurt they will have to tax us all directly ... And they will because the nation wanted out ... well 52% of the votes cast did. My company which is a very old and traditional design and print company has just been brought out from DHL by Advent. The design offices in Aldgate tower already gone and 135 creatives gone. And here's the clue the business's default currency will be Euro's not GBP and as we do most of the work in the UK for all the big companies i can say this is a very serious thing. The UK government is widely regarded as a complete joke in the European business world they are dreaming

So do you think the universe was born out of "nothing"? Or at least, can you live with the idea of something coming out of "nothing"?

How hard is it to exchange Euro to Sterling or the other way round. As a commodity trader I quote in 4 or 5 currencies just call and do the exchange.

Maybe it's my lack of curiosity but when i was younger i accepted the big bang. Now that i'm older, i must say i'm very interested in space but not interested at all in how the universe has come about as neither makes sense.

What i certainly do not believe in is the version of god put forward in all religions. An omnipotent, omniscient all loving god.

Too much bad **** in this world for any that god of mine.

I do believe religion can do both good and bad and hold no qualms with people practicing it but i don't believe in the indoctrination of our children with it.

Then you have a great insight
I think this maybe what the likely new worth of the pound maybe
We are all guessing are we not but the fact is that businesses may not share the same thoughts as the UK government . I certainly already know that in my sector workaround trade deals have been drawn up
I also know that in my sector of media and comms there are a lot more jobs already popping up in France esp Montpellier... you have to see the physical growth it really is something big The same can be said about other lesser cities in Europe they are switching on big time to opportunity and taking full advantage of the current UK stance

It's looks likely this will hit hard imo
Looks like a hard Brexit which will please a few I don't agree with that but it's now respected I personally will do everything I can to become French

There is one thing certain it's all uncertain

However, my curiosity concerning how the universe began knows no bounds!!

I believe it is essential for our children to fully understand the gift of forgiveness but understanding the history of religion maybe well out of date but the essence of faith should wash all over this

My inner belief only grows stronger as I was always taught that the prediction that people will in the end turn away from all religions is very likely yet it still has a very big hold on us ... I would challenge that does anyone walk out of a funeral if the service is religious and they do not believe ?

Is dead just that? We cannot explain life or death very well ... well it's not good enough for me to give up my faith

I agree there should be no bounds Col but science has a way of drawing hard and fast rules

Deja vu? It's just a mind trick ?
    Not for me

    God save our Queen
Churchill fighting against the evil in the name of god ... yet factually knowing about the concentration camps

The UK and US aligns itself with god and yet no one believes in it ... crazy times

People dont walk out (certainly i dont) as we are paying respects to the dead. Just because we do not believe in religion doesnt mean we cant be respectful of people who do.

Religion will not die out as long as people want to find meaning in life (maybe very negative but i don't think there is meaning just live life to the fullest) or are fearful of there being no afterlife. Just as terrorism will never die out neither will religion.

The general population nowadays certainly is less religious than hundreds of years ago though.
