How many of those are going to commit to a club that has truly lost its way and is now in civil war? Maybe some would stay, if Wenger is replaced, but if you add in the old and injured (Cech, Mertesacker, Cazorla, Koscielny) and there ain't much quality left to build around or flog to buy in replacements. There's Bellerin, Walcott, Giroud, Elneny, Xhaka, Coquelin, Mustafa, Holding and the 2 new signings. It ain't great whether you've got Wenger managing it or Massimiliano Allegri. So, is Stan willing to spend the half a billion pounds needed to turn that bunch of **** into something competitive? I can't see it with his current commitments in the NFL. He's pretty much borrowed to the hilt against his share of the club to build a stadium Stateside and I just don't see Stan financing anything himself, especially after buying that ranch. It's kind of funny that they survived building The Emirates only for a stadium being built in Los Angeles to bring it all crashing down. He could sell to Usmanov but why?
