Been watching a few on the freeview channels.
Porridge - had me howling.
On the Buses - still funny.
Last of the Summer Wine - ran for years & always enjoyed it.
One Foot in the Grave - I know an owld bloke who's just like Victor.
Also loved Alf Garnet & Love Thy Neighbour.
Any more?

The dustbin men ( Geoffrey Hughes).
Flowery Twats ( Cleese)
 
Rising Damp, Dads Army, Hi de Hi, Aint Half Hot Mum , Sykes, The Detectives, (Amos and Andy), Fawlty Towers all great stuff, another one was Leonard Rossiter and Alfred Molina in a comedy called The Losers about a boxer and promoter that was also very good, at least in my memory. <laugh>

Loads of these shows mentioned are superb, they've influenced so much new comedy which now I'd class a old but wouldn't have said old when i was a teenager 20 years ago.

Well I was thinking of stuff no longer in production Brian.
Some of the shows mentioned go back to the 60's.
Some ran on into the 90's. A lot of them I recollect from my childhood.
See that could apply to Father Ted. Wouldn't class it as old though.


I think they only made one series because the main guy died.
I'm not putting any time dates on fella, just whatever folk come up with.

See Father Ted is 22 years old. I'd class that as old. They'd filmed 2 1/2 seasons when Dermot Morgan died. Loved Father Ted.

I'm a comedy fanatic but most of the stuff i watch was done in the 80s, 90s and 00s. Watched all the stuff mentioned(Ello Ello is my favorite of the really old stuff) but been seeing them most of my life, gets a bit repetitive so like to venture further. There's great stuff from all decades imo.
 
Loved Till Death Us Do Part and Steptoe and Son... Hated Love Thy Neighbour which I found about as funny as a septic boil between my arse cheeks..

90s was my teen years so hold that period of comedy very close.

Loads from the 90s. from the turn to the close it was a great comedy era for me.
