Yeah he's a decent player, but his best attributes like his pace, power and energy are suited to playing wide, and his weaknesses as a player like his lack of composure in possession, and his inability to dictate play in the way a top central midfield player can, make it a strange transfer for me.

Conte wanted him as a wing back, a good position for him, but roumer has it he's going to Liverpool because he's been promised a position in the middle of midfield.

Liverpool don't even play with wing backs, and I can't see him playing as a right winger ahead of Salah or Mane, so he must be buying him to play centrally. I can't really understand Klopps thinking with this transfer.

Can on the way out, he won't sign a new contract.
That would leave Gini and Henderson sitting back slightly (no holding mid as such) and OxO ahead of them. Not sure where that leaves Coutinho and Lallana though but plenty of options for rotation with Milner still there to fill any gaps later in games.

It all depends who we're playing imo. Playing a lower ranked side that we need to break down then why not just one of Henco, Winja or Can with Ox AND Lallana behind MFS?

Coutinho is gone imo


Edit; equally, if we need to be a bit more solid I reckon Ox will go on the right with Salah dropping to the bench leaving Lallana to create and two of Hendo, Can or Winja sitting

Good call, I think Coutinho will stay though. Barca may come back but I think his chance is gone.

The line-up was this year, I think Can is gone in his head be it this year or next but will continue to try his best until he gets his move and cause no problems.
I just think that Henderson (while fit) and Gini are better mids than Can and OxO/Lallana are much better than him as ACM which leaves him on the bench as part of the squad rotation thing for lesser games if he stays.

this is actually interesting. Theres no actual rush to medical a guy in the evening bar those medical staff have to leave the country tomorrow.

this all suggest to me the lemar deal is still being looked at.
