    Loanee development players.

Sanches is a huge risk especially if he's been promised first team football as has been reported.
He looked the part in the Euros and lit up some dire performances but I question why he has such a huge reputation.
In two seasons he's contributed 2 goals and 1 assist in senior games. He is being touted as the creative spark we need to replace Sigurdsson but nothing suggests he is going to.
His season in Germany has been quite miserable.
Don't get me wrong - he's young and appears to be talented but I keep banging on that sometimes we need ready made players.
I hope he proves me wrong because if he doesn't were in a weak position.

We can certainly afford it . Clement and the Americans have done a bang on job , and still have us in the black as the " Tradition " of net spending in the black continues ... Well done .

Not particularly cheap for a single season loan especially on such a ricky option.

Not seeing a lot of risk bob , now Baston's 15 million was a high risk which came back to bite us in the arse

The risk is he's been promised starts and apart from the Euros he really hasn't delivered effectively.

Sanchez, another teenager, or is he 20, full of hope and potential who has come here to LEARN his trade. Pretty soon we'll be handing out apprenticeships instead of contracts.

This another short sighted deal imo. I don't think Abraham and Sanchez will be poor but they're not wonderkinder, if they were they'd already be playing for Bayern and Chelsea this year not coming here on work experience. We're a premier league football club not a ****ing college of further education. Lower league clubs loan players not premier league outfits.

Both our trainees may well become great player one day but when they do they wont be playing their football here.

Is it really any worse that having for example Andre Ayew for one season then flitting off as did Michu etc , I know we'll have to go through the whole rigmarole again next season but this transfer window maybe enough to keep us up . My bigger concern is managerial stability , I have faith in Clement who's proving to be a valuable asset to the Club and his stock is going to raise can we keep him ?

Sorry, but I don't see a comparison at all.
Ayew who came to us on a free and we sold him for £20 million ... a season from an experienced player and a huge profit. Given the seasons finish the year before he could have been forgiven for expecting European football with us.

And, Michu didn't flit off after one season. Wracked with injuries he left for a better climate as much as a better pay day. He and others were also made unwelcome at the club (but let's not get sidetracked). Having stayed for two season we received a loan fee around half of what we paid for him.

Each gave us a return on our investment and neither were development projects.

Abraham's loan agreement is undisclosed and Sanches' nearly £8 million - with neither offering any return at the end of the season.

But if Sanches and Abraham have great seasons, we probably stay up so wouldn't their return then be £100m plus?

I would rather at this stage have Sanches on loan for around £8m than a has been on a permanent for £13m and we are stuck with him bleeding us dry...

I didn't mean in a financial comparison but purely as logistical ,we have to replace players whether we the fans like it or not , we're a mid table Club and will always be picked on as we pick on those below us that's the nature of the game .So whether they're "our" p[layers or someone else's that quality doesn't stay around too long
