Did anyone see that for years Carling have been brewing their lager at 3.7% and labelling it as 4% for tax reasons? Cheeky ****s have the balls to say they aren't misleading consumers. I don't drink Carling very often at all but that's going to be never now.
I can't get drunk on it. The sheer amount of liquid I'd have to put down my neck would be silly. I don't know how people do it. I don't drink less than 5% lager. Rather get pissed off 6-8 pints of strong quality larger followed by the shorts, than 12-15 pints of piss water and still trying to nail a proper buzz. It's ****e, Forsters too.
Same here, I can't be arsed with the effort it takes with weak beer. Usually just two or three pints of 5% for me then onto spirits. I suppose the exception is sometimes when it's hot and I'm having a beer during the day but don't want to get drunk I don't mind a 4% although I don't know where it'd be coming from because it wouldn't be in my fridge.
Depends on the bladder and when the seal breaks for me. Good for half a dozen pints if I can hold off till the 3rd pint. Sometimes it creeps up halfway through the 1st and I know there just no way pints are going to cut it.
Carlsberg Export is ok, Carlsberg ordinary tastes like a tramp has washed his cheb end in it. Fosters is ****ing rank. I don't think anybody drinks it in Australia. I'm a confirmed real ale man now. There's always two on in my local. They change all the time. Most have been great but there has been the odd few I haven't liked. I prefer the paler ones. IPA's, golden ales & so forth. Not a big fan of the dark, heavy beers. Still, at £2.68 a pint you cannot really grumble.
This is my favourite pint that I drink, and will be drinking tonight (as I was last night, too) at my favourite 'Sheels pub, the Alum House (at the ferry landing) £3.20 a pint
I nearly always drink carling or fosters cause it's cheap in the pubs in Chester le street People come from the surrounding villages to get it. Carling from £1.60 to less than £2 Fosters from £1.90 to about£2 In some pubs the price rises after 6 pm and 8 pm But you can still get a carling £1.60 all night at one bar May the price war continue keep the beer prices low
Indeed. And when the last beer festival was over she was giving it away for free just to empty the kegs. She looks after us does Kay, smashing lass.
A big Sunderland supporter ran the pub from about 1998 to 2005 We had a lot in common great real ale I was on the front page of the Sunderland echoe when he was promoting the pub
