So we're no longer surrendering three goal leads. We don't go to pieces in the last ten minutes and we're no longer worried about cold and rainy Tuesday nights up north.

Saturday sees the next test in our hoodoo bashing. Can we stop Darius Henderson?

I think he's scored 27 goals against us in 4 appearances, primarily from the bench and usually in the last few minutes of games..... or does it just feel like it?

2 seasons ago in league 1 we played out two 1-1 draws. i remember the one at their place - Lambert scoring deep into injuy time giving saints the lead. that was surely the winner, wild celebrations. NO they equalised within 30 seconds, then final whistle ggggrrrggghhh.

Remember it well, really thought we'd won it - couldn't believe it when they equalised straight away. Then all the little Millwall wannabe nippers that had left their seats came running back in giving it the laaarrrrrge one to us. Gggggrrrgggghhh indeed.

If we win on Saturday, there will be one record undoubtedly made, which is that Saints will have won the first 4 league matches of the season since... well actually, I don't know. I've looked at my copy of In That Number, which goes back to immediate post-WWII and there are no seasons when it has been achieved. I don't know about 1885 to 1945, although perhaps club historian Duncan Holley would, as he has the records for those years, I believe.

I suspect it's been achieved several times in the club's early years, as Saints were the ManU of the Southern League at the time.
