Come on it is a hell of a lot of money for someone who is an average player according to hull fans and the club never even put up much of a fight to keep him and saw a gift horse in Swansea.....£5m max for a player of his caliber would be a risk but £16.5m is plain stupid and a panic buy..

Reviewing the posts from 3 years ago when Gylfi joined from Spurs, and most posters thought that Huw had been shafted by Levy & that we were (effectively) overpaying for the Icelander. Wonder what people & Levy are thinking now? I'm not saying that Clucas will grow in value like Gylfi, but if he does a job for us in the PL over the course of his contract, then it will be money well spent
