He improved in the last third of last season. He's still terrible and although he's pulled off a few worldy saves (which he was always good at), he didn't do that many last season and he's still glued to his line and he still likes to hold onto the ball instead of setting you guys free on a counter attack
Wouldn't say terrible. That's reserved for players like Tiabi. He's an average goalkeeper that would be suitable for a mid to lower table club. When we bought him there was a possible potential for him to progress, however that hasn't happened and he should have been properly replaced last summer, not with another keeper who has a similar 'potential to progress' gk.
No,no,no and no. He was good for two thirds of last season and he's pulled off more than 'a few worldy saves' (3 penalty saves v Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton saved us valuable points). And he's not glued to his line at all, even some on here who don't like Migs will agree that his command of the box has improved hugely, and we have seen him punch clear many times last season. His quick release has also improved although I agree he could use it more.
timo horn.. big ugly brute for 10mil.. simples. get it done same as the howedes. another <20mil or draxler for 30. or meyer then as well. Great value out there.
Not sure i count penalty saves as worldies . You are right, not terrible, just part of a big group of keepers who are not bad but not top level.
ESTADÃO: #Coutinho's entourage confirms he never had the will to not play for Liverpool but had to follow his representatives instructions. The backtracking begins ...
Whatever happens, he'll still get cheered like the lost ****ing saviour if he ever wears the red shirt again
So he's accepted he's staying. Sounds like he needs to shoot his representatives. Agents are a toxin in football. Players would be best to follow Mahrez example, play and play well as to prove to the buying club that they're worth spending the money on.
Showed the will for 2 preseason and 3 competitive games. Just ****ing hang your head lad and get on with it. Dont make excuses
If he does stay I hope he does not get booed by our fans when he plays his first game. Every player is entitled to better himself, it just seems he had some very bad advice probably from his money grasping agent. The agent must have thought all his Xmas' had come at once when he heard Barca were interested.
He's 25 not 12! He signed a 5 year contract to better himself...we can say he didn't know Barca would be coming but tough...he made a choice with legal ramifications....us normal people don't get to ignore contracts because they no longer suit. We don't get to give up personal responsibility as grown assed men blaming it on advice from whoever. He's a Liverpool player, that never changed through this but about time he manned up.. .if a bit of booing is all he gets in one match then **** him ....he can prove he is sorry by taking it on the chin. Do his ****ing job...thats what he's paid for.
Just a bit of context. He's not kicked a ball in a month of faking injury tgat 4x180k = 780k paid to him to do a job and hes done nothing and missed the most critical games we will have all season.
Lloris and Mig are very similar keepers. Main strenggth is pulling off woldies and reaction saves. Main weakness is they have a howler in them and neither can command an area (lloris is just as flappy as Mig!) And neither can kick a football. Lloris is jusy slightly better at pulling off worldies than Mig
