There has been a lot of "massive" transfers. This window will be record breaking.

I really like watching Burton. They are a little club, modest budget, but they are a plucky little side. Like to play football. I really like Clough as a manager, I think he's really under rated. Sordell's goal just now was great team work then individual class. I think they will struggle, but I hope they stay up again this season.

I really like the look of their young midfielder Matty Palmer I can see a top Championship side/Premiership side trying to get hold of him soon. He's the sort of player a Burnley would sign.
 
Bayern Munich benefitted from a historic video replay decision as they opened the Bundesliga season with a win against Bayer Leverkusen at a rain-soaked Allianz Arena. The defending champions, who are bidding for a sixth successive title, were given a second-half penalty after referee Tobias Stieler consulted the video assistant referee (VAR) system which has been introduced to the German top flight. The official was unsure Robert Lewandowski had been fouled but, after going to the video referees based in Cologne, he awarded a spot-kick and the Poland striker converted for 3-0.
 
I don't think I've ever seen a football player, as skinny or with such skinny legs as Tammy Abraham! Class player, but it was a shock to see no leg muscles or upper body muscle showing. You don't really see that anymore.

Strangely, I saw Crouch as a 16 year old at Buisbane Road when beat Spurs in the youth cup. Russell and Gre weream, Crouch came on as a sud in the second half. We could not believe hid stature. Thinking about it, hr may have been 15Sorrys post seems garbadge, but all my attempte to orrect it ,,,,,i give up/

Butland looking great again tonight. Pickford has looked very impressive. I'd love it if we left Hart out and went with Butland and Pickford as 1 and 2 for England.
 
Arsenal did not look good tonight. Had the gf's family over. Her dad and Brother are Arsenal fans. They were not happy. Does this reshape their start to the season? After the Celebration of the Charity Shield. The Euphoria/relief of the Leicester thriller. Now this.

Was the cup win because Chelsea are in crisis? Was the late win against Leicester where Leicester looked very good, was that a lucky escape?

My gf family seem to think so, and I kind of agree so far. I don't know what to make of them.

There were reports Barca were going to report them to FFP after Neymar (although, as usual I don't think anything is happening there). This is just taking the p*ss now isn't it?!

FFP is clearly not worth the paper it's written on.
Not just the UK where the league consists of 'haves' and 'have nots'. :(
 
<laugh> Real Madrid has been spooked by the Barca Neymar saga. Everyone is scared of PSG now!
