Theres an ideal replacement available now, thats why we need to know whats happening. Lassoge scores as many goals every season, not just one season, he also does it in a higher league so. We can have him on loan with half his wages paid for by Hamburg. A no brainwr for me if Wood goes. £15m is January window money then as we dont need it straight away.

Lassoga's hardly prolific for his £45K per week wages Doc

2016/17 22 appearances 2 goals
2015/16 31 appearances 8 goals
2014/15 30 appearances 5 goals

You sure those numbers are right as Ive seen different posted, plus the creation, U21, U19 etc. Someone on here think it was Marcos posted goals to games ration for last 3 seasons of 1 in 3 which is the same as Wood but higher leagues. So try again mate

I really hope he stays, because he has a rare opportunity to mean something to a lot of Leeds fans long after he's stopped playing for the side, and he's never seemed to be a gold-digger.

Problem is, this is his big moment - go or stay, he's committing to a contract that spans his best years from an earnings potential, just hope we've done enough to keep him. Like others, I'm suspicious that the club has never said "no sale at any price", and I feel he may have been unsettled by his advisers and others.

We'll soon know.

You are correct he has one in three but I also said he has dropped off in the last couple of seasons (as did Wood before we signed him). If he hadn't I guess we would have no chance of signing him anyway! Obviously TC will only want to discuss the bad bits with you <whistle>

If it is all true at least the board did the right thing, we offered a contract extension in an attempt to keep him but if he doesn't wish to sign it we held out for a decent chunk of cash.

I can't help feeling our season is screwed, I'm not as confident as some that Lassoga is the answer. I might have been tempted to say you're staying until January but then you risk a devalued striker if he is failing to score.

In all a ****ty situation with no real right or wrong answer to it.

If true, like Ristac says, end of auto talk and likely playoffs. Where do we find a striker in the 30 goal a season bracket with two weeks left in transfer window for 15m. They’re not out there and if they are they’ll also want pl football. Rad and TC will be gutted as they’ve stated Wood was a huge part of their plans and this is a major setback. No positives to this
